A Redstate friend who is on hiatus informs that this morning he attended his county Republican Party’s breakfast meeting and expressed an interest in becoming a member of the county Republican Party Executive Board. Because a vacancy existed, he’s been informed he’ll be approved, formally, as a member when the Executive Board meets later this month to vote on the matter. He also volunteered to manage the county board’s GOTV (get out the vote) efforts and they offered to pay him to do so. He turned down the pay and asked to be a delegate to the national convention instead. Presto! He’ll now become, too, a delegate to the national Republican Party convention.

All it takes is the commitment to do something. I’m a precinct delegate and tell as many people as I can what it means. We have to take back our party with action, not just words.

…keep at it for a year and a half! You can’t give up just because it’s not easy on the first try.

You have to build credibility over time, then you suddenly find yourself an officer and a delegate to the nominating convention.

I just talked to this activist on the phone (many here know who he is) and he agreed with my statement that there is a vaccuum at the state level that is ging to draft you upward.

If yu participate and get things done, you will get drafted up to the next level (state) QUICKLY – then you will be choosing your state chair and your RNC committeecritters.

That’s how you change the party. They did it in AZ and NH this month. We made advances In CA and other states.

Collectively, we are having an awesome effect.

This is inspiring.

We communicated last summer on ResistNet – but then I got busy with general campaigns and precinct work.

This will be my first time through the Precinct Mass Meeting – County Convention – District Convention – State Convention cycle. I am meeting and getting to know some good people.
