Some Redstaters recruit precinct committeemen — others, not so much

You probably know what I’m going to say.

Here’s a little bit. Oh, the buttons? PC = Precinct Committeeman. PW = Precinct Walker/Worker. CV = Campaign Volunteer. CD = Campaign Donor. DR = Doorbell Ringer. Which, if any, do you qualify for?

For Liberty,

ColdWarrior

Will YOU help make 2011 “The Year of the Precinct Committeeman?”

Where it all started.

Learn how to GOTV at The Concord Project and at Procinct and Unified Patriots.

I am very proud of you.

As far as you question – for which am I qualified? All of the above.

Attending my first Precinct meeting on Thursday. Film at 11

Qualify for all the above as well as PCR (Precinct Committeeman Recruiter) I try to bring a new person to induct into the REC every monthly meeting, If we all did that we (the conservatives) would easily control all of the Republican party

Call me the behind the scenes guy who does things like help keep this site running so the PCRs can keep Ring. :)

Redstate and all you and the others do to keep Redstate humming for us. Redstate has been instrumental in bringing together so many like-minded conservatives (who disagree from time to time — we are all learning) and helping them get plugged into whatever niche works for them to further our goal of electing better people to be our public servants. Thanks again for all you do!

I’ve recruited a young Christian college student from church who is interested in attending the next local GOP meeting with me. Sent him lots of info, including suggestions that he check out redstate and The Precinct Project. My hope is that once he’s hooked, he’ll bring others.

this post over at Unified Patriots by brand new Georgia PC Kimberly Schwartz, who very nicely explained the power vacuum that exists where she and her husband live:

I hope the Christian pastors around the country figure out that they need to encourage their congregants to get involved in party politics.

          Thank you,

CW, whatever happens in 2012, you can take comfort in knowing that you made a difference across this country.

As for the post, I’ve said the same thing the author says almost verbatim to several folks lately:

“The answer is, of course, that they were in the same places I?ve been all those times before I actually showed up ? they were busy with family, home, job, church, volunteer work, little league, scouts, music lessons, etc., because those are the kinds of things that conservatives do, after all. Our values dictate that we are generally busy people, and we are busy with worthwhile things.”

In some ways, I’m jealous of their situation. At least in the areas where there has been little or no interest up to now, they are not having to push against the ingrained establishment. But we live where we live and must do what we can.

I so appreciate what you said about Christian ministers and totally agree. My volunteer was prompted to ask me how to get more involved last Wednesday night after Bible Study. We’re watching “The Silencing of God” (DVD by Dave Miller, Apologetics Press). Our discussion afterward centered on how much the church can and should be involved with regard to what the Bible says, tax-exempt status, etc. My comment from a faith point of view was that as Christians, we had better stop voting our gender or race or criteria other than our Christianity and start voting as our conscience demands. Our minister backed me up and specifically noted how he could not understand how any Christian could vote for those who support abortion. After dismissal, the young man thanked me for my comment which led to a discussion about my involvement in the local tea party and the local GOP and the Precinct Project and our goals. I followed up by sending him the email I sent you earlier and he’s agreed to go to the next meeting.
