AP: Withering away of “Tea Party” baffles incumbents; surge in attendance at party committee meetings concerns incumbents

AP

Republican Party and Democrat Party leaders, and incumbent U.S. House and Senate incumbents, as well as state legislators and governors, have expressed serious concern regarding the surge in attendance by grass roots “tea partiers” and “9.12-er’s” and other members of grass roots conservative organizations at their respective local Republican Party committee meetings. “It seems our worst fears have become realized,” said one long-time incumbent Republican U.S. House member, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “It looks like these wing nuts have figured out what we’ve been neglecting to say to them: that the people can take over the Republican Party if they just spend a little bit of time and effort, united, participating in party politics.”

The entrenched elite have no idea how ANGRY many Americans are now, and if this horse-hockey stuff continues, it will soon be time for torches and pitchforks.

    is, I guess, a “strategy.”

I advocate, simply, that all conservatives who are mad get organized and united inside the Republican Party at the local Party committee level.

Unite. Get organized. Where you live. Inside the Republican Party.

    Go here:

    http://www.redstate.com/coldwarrior/2011/04/10/what-we-need-to-do-as-soon-as-possible-why-we-need-to-do-it-why-it-will-work-if-we-unite-now/

Unfortunately, most conservatives internet “activists” seem to be too “important” or seem to have the mindset that their never-ending blog posts about how bad the Dems are and about their pet policy prescription du jour are going to, somehow, change the Republican Party and increase voter turnout for Constitutional conservative candidates. In other words, we are to listen to more of the same from them and expect a different outcome.

Reality matters. The reality about the Republican Party is that it’s there for the taking by conservatives if they’ll just get involved locally within it. And, by doing this, all those newly disengaged conservative precinct committeemen can both change the Party from within and ensure Constitutional conservatives win the primary elections.

But that means leaving the keyboard and picking up a clipboard and going door to door. Anathema to most.

Unless we get conservatives to ACT, where it matters, we will lose our country as we know it.

So? What are YOU going to DO? Would be nice to hear some of the RS “leaders” address this.

    Thank you.

One of the very few criticisms I have of Levin’s radio program is that it casts him as Our Leader broadcasting from a bunker deep under ground.
While that may have been true several years ago when his program first went on air, today he is no underground character.
He is you and me, the everyday American.
Which is why having more and more everyday Americans taking over the local branches of the more conservative of our parties is a good thing.
Wing Nuts are a baseball team in Wichita. We are the face of America.

They even had to steal that from the conservative movement. I was calling THEM along with many others probably in this very forum leftWing Nuts 15 years ago.:) Levin is a good man and you’re right, has nothing to ‘hide from’ per say.

They’re JUST like Hollywood, totally bereft of any new ideas. We got Planet of the Apes, remake this, remake that, nothing fresh at all ever anymore. They just regurgitate the things from the previous generation good and bad, and re sell em to the new ones who are too uneducated yet to know the difference.

people should go to Rep. headquarters and sign up for phones, stuffing envelopes, being challengers at polls, and working to get out the vote and making sure everyone votes for cons, Reps. You have to be in it to win it. I think some lottery said that.

And I wonder which of the two major parties that might be? The quote is from liberal, and generally clueless, Chicago Tribune columnist Clarance Page, and his column from which it comes is an example of liberal life imitating a spoof:

    “Is the Tea Party Over?”

    Thank you.

President Disaster (BHO) and his administration’s reckless spending are spending America into oblivion. He’s worse than Jimmy Carter every thought of being.

  • chicagoray45

They didn’t listen and now they even bite the hand that feeds and as far as I’m concerned the ONLY people in DC worth a grain of salt are the Newcomer Tea party folks and the new ones coming to town in 2012 with a bullet figuratively of course. (perhaps not if things get Londistan- like soon)

I actually wish the leftist loons would break off from their Communist hijacked party as well and form a crack party or what have you, but since they don’t we can only assume they totally endorse their anti American destroying tax and spend and borrow into oblivion agenda and are the enemy as well. I wish they weren’t but they now are until they do so.
