So she could throw herself over somebody else to protect them. At least the reckless policeman didn’t start a firefight that killed dozens when he shot the gunman who had “only” killed one person at the time. Dozens might have died, or a ricochet could have hurt somebody.

It is not that the government does not trust the majority of Americans to carry guns responsibly – it’s that the government KNOWS that the second amendment was written specifically for the citizens to protect themselves from a tyrannical taxing government.

Since I ignore the Huffingtonpost, I would never have seen this. This is not newsworthy because only God fearing people were killed and at risk and another person (cop) with a gun took care of the assassin.

This is not inline with idiological biases of the media and certainly doesn’t advance their gun control/right-wing extremist argument.

The real problem is the GUBMINT does not trust the majority of Americans to carry guns responsibly.

It’s just another feature of the nanny state. Big daddy gubmint cannot trust the little children citizens to carry guns and defend them selves…
