It is of my interest to remind people of scandals and issues of the Obama Administration that have gotten little light in the recent media storm. Perhaps if we talk of them now AP and other media groups will open their eyes to it and give it the light of day.

EPA
There was the Email Scandal

This where Lisa Jackson did everything she could to avoid oversight. Yes she wanted to avoid ANYONE knowing what she was doing.

There was also the Wetland Scandals and the Crucify Them comment.

Of course we currently also have a coming FOIA Request Scandal joining the fray.

Of course the EPA is an easy target, so let us move along to other Scandals…

Energy Department
First let us talk of LOANS

Oh yes not only did most go out of business but there is a lot of behind the scene stuff most of us missed. Bonuses, turtle removal, shiny decorative walls…

Solyndra was definitely scandal worthy as the loan was allowed to continue until AFTER the 2010 election. Putting off a scandal until after an election, that sounds familiar!

Then there was the offshore drilling Moratorium and the aid to Brazil as he banned our oil.

FCC
There was the LightSquared scandal where with a single switch in allowances almost gave a donor of his a transmission property value increase of 10 billion dollars… And would have hosed GPS devices around the world.

There is the Broadband Test where they will know who you are, where you are posting from, and what you are posting during the ‘test’.

Military & Diplomacy
The Chevy Volt is a gift that keeps on giving

Unions and GM
There was the Union Payoff and the green car push…

Inspector General Firings
If you do not like what an Inspector General says then FIRE him!

Black Panthers
Convicted then they dropped the charges

Ladies and Gentlemen there is more fish in this toxic dump that are starting to smell. We need to show the world how truly smelly Obama’s Administration really is. Do not forget that Obamacare is a waiting series of scandals… Enjoy thinking on that!

**Promoted from the diaries.**

I no longer wear an olive drab uniform, but still I serve.

My feet are damaged and broken, but I still march to freedoms beat.

My weapons are Twitter, pens, and a cellular phone, and with them I fight.

Though I shall never be called upon to risk my life defending our nation as Hero’s of our past and present have done, I fight on.

Today I ask you to join me in the trenches, I ask you to enlist in this fight.

I ask because we are in a terrible war, with the fate of our own freedoms in play, a war where liberty will be violated and then made a slave to tyranny.

I ask you not to join the military, nor to follow a specific cause or pledge to a politician.

No… I ask you go pledge to yourself, your dreams, and to our nation.

I ask for you to run for office.

This battlefield may be unkind and unmerciful, but it is a far easier burden than the Marines storming Iwo Jima had, or the Army had in Normandys death dealing beaches.

I aask you to do a duty our own founding fathers found honorable.

The lowest rank is Precinct Committee Person (also known as PCP).

The next rank is that of local positions such as on a school board, water district, or city council. Each county and State varies so look for your local information via your elections office.

The first of the officers is Sherrifs, Mayors, and State Representatives… and the likes.

Those who run for Federal Office… you have surpassed me, and if you are a Conservative then I salute you!

This is not a dishonorable duty! Nothing could be further from the truth. Only when we fight evil, corruption, and cronyism can we have a victory.

There is no victory in surrendering the battle, there is no victory in letting the enemy win via default, there is no victory if you do not stand up in the image of our Founding Fathers and carry the torch of freedom!

The enemy will call you names, and try to smear you. You will not suffer a physical injury from this. They will try to tell it is hopeless… to which I say there is hope if you try, and no hope if you do not!

I am United with Cold Warrior, Line Holder, LHeal, and more in seeking you, all of you we can get, to run for office. TAKE BACK OUR NATION!

My goal is to raise an army of 200,000. Not an army pledged to me or my specific platforms, but to the causes of Freedom, Liberty, Justice and the American Way!

My goal is to show such strenght our enemy is overwhelmed by our numbers, as we fight in every battlefield there is, and take the fight to them with everything we can!

Let us become the tidal wave, the tsunami, that washes away the corruption that harms our nation!

My argument against Obama’s recent DREAM Executive Fiat.

The idea granting amnesty to those under the age of 16 is appalling, here are my reasons why:

A) An average child knows their home address no later than 12 years old.

B) An Average child of 10 years can identify their own nation they are in.

C) By 10 most children understand Right and Wrong and can identify properly when their parents ask them to lie.

D) By age 2 most children start to understand words spoken by their parents, by age 5 they have a decent volcabulary, by age ten they are proficient. This part negates claims they don’t speak their native language unless the parents ONLY spoke in English which is highly unlikely.

E) given that illegal aliens represent a major drain on the Government (much more than they contribute) and that they will likely remain a net deficit for life, deporting them is sound policy.

F) While initially difficulties may occur these ‘children’ represent useful skills for their home nations and are a net increase to the taxes gained in those nations.

G) with many already having committed ID theft, or profited from their parents doing so, proving they were here for x time can be difficult since… they could be stealing yet another identity to gain the equivalent of permament residency.

H) This incentivizes more to sneak in and use this thus circumventing legal immigration.

I) Especially since most schools wish to educate them in their native language we can presume most won’t have issues speaking the language.

J) Also due to the education part their costs are much higher than normal students and increase the student load a school must support.

If the left truly cared then they could sponsor a ‘fund’ for these ‘children’ to have for when they return to their home nation they can seek a residence, and have time to search for employment.

Ergo the left cares more about potential votes than this nation, legal immigrants orthese ‘childrens’ futures.

I would rather quadruple legal immigration than give a blanket amnesty.

I know this will bother some Democrats and such, but I stand by my words.

I am Michael Harrington, Candidate for State Representative in Portland, Oregon, and I endorse this post!

You know I served in the military myself, US Army 3/502nd infantry to be exact, and I wanted to note on this Memorial Day the Brotherhood between Soldiers and Veterans.

No where in life have I found such a Brotherhood, though perhaps I have not experienced enough living. Soldiers will go out of their way to save another soldier, history is replete with story after story of such.

There is a reason they called “Band of Brothers” that name. There is a reason that a the French Musketeers had a saying, “One for all, and all for one!”.

Veterans are no different as we will look out for eachother in numerous ways. A Veteran saved me after I was scammed and robbed of everything and made homeless… because we are brothers. I helped a homeless Veteran return to his son over 1600 miles away… because we are brothers.

Times are tough all around, and while I was injured in training in my third year and never gave… as the saying goes: “Some gave all, all gave some”… I ask on behalf of my fellow Veterans… those disabled and hurt having given more than most… that people in their communities help them in some small way. Perhaps mowing a yard, painting a room, fixing a fence, or changing the oil in their car. Small things like this can help in a more meaningful manner than a cash donation… for it makes you a brother or sister with them for that moment.

On this memorial day I call upon you all, upon the best of our politically knowledgable, to help a Veteran some way this weekend, this week, this coming month. Be brothers with us this day.

- Veteran, PFC Harrington, Company C, 3/502nd Infantry, 101st Airborne

Mitt Romney can gain more votes than he realizes, save more jobs than most would think, and get more donations than projected.

Hello all,

I am a truck driver and a politician. Mostly truck driver since my campaign is utterly stalled for lack of a campaign manager, but that’s ok for now I guess.

I am here to scare the hell out of you and give Romney a path to follow where he can break the Teamsters and win a lot of votes and donations.

The trucking industry has 3 million proffessional drivers according to this site. They also estimate about 12 million trucks of commercial size of various sorts. This ranges from your average box van to full tractor trailer combinations. Most trucks are used locally for their parent companies or for farming activities.

Trucking represents an astonishing 1.2 million small businesses. Out of 27.75 million businesses (source) this means trucking represents 1 in 20 small businesses.

Revenue in the industry is 255 billion and pofit marins hover near 4.5%.

California represents 13% of the nations GDP, ergo one can assume they also use 13% of trucking… This is important!

There are the following impacts happening soon:

1) California is Cap and Taxing Diesel Commercial Vehicles as well as mandating usage of “a low carbon fuel” version of diesel. Estimates show this fuel will cost $6.60 a gallon.

2) A new Hours of Service (HoS) rule makes drivers over 8 hours a day take 30 minutes off on a special new break. This will probably affect 50% of drivers about 75% of the time from a possible average of 10 hours normal drive time. This represents a 1.875% decrease in productivity.

3) A new HoS rule prevents multiple 34 hour resets (Proffessional drivers are limited in how many hours we can drive in a day and how many in a week. A 34 hour reset, or rest period, resets the clock to 0 on both) we can perform to one a week. This could impact productivity (it will affect my productivity by 15% or so and it will reduce how much ‘home time’ I can get by as much as 66%)

4) There is a new and unfair point system under CSA 2010. When we get warnings for out headlights or flat tires we will get points under CSA 2010 rules. It unfairly targets owner operators as well by a system where businesses get points as well. [For the record I am campaigning with a State level solution to this. I will direct via bill the States General Attorney to sue when/if an Oregon driver gets points for a warning]

5) State’s are making new rules designed to punish drivers. Minnesota tickets drivers (and it is not a cheap offense, several of these and you lose your right to drive under the point system) for having an energy drink in the cab. California makes trucks have severe idle controls or stop idling entirely. Oregon has a shoulder driving law which prevents passing others but does not advertise the law for drivers. The list goes on.

6) New obesity rules are hitting us. I am currently somewhat over 300 pounds. This is not due to me eating to much. This is due to sitting on my arse for 11+ hours, laying down for 10+ hours, and standing/walking for less than 1 hour on a typical day. This job sucks for weight control and a lot of drivers are considered ‘obese’.

These Obesity rules are hitting all sorts of angles from ‘analysis of sleep apenia problems’ to fines and penalties for companies with to many employees overweight, to other such idiot idea’s to help control our weight.

7) NAFTA is going to cost US drivers jobs and cost the US tax revenue. Mexico unfairly subsidizes Mexican diesel prices and couple with their low payroll will mean Mexican drivers can haul freight for 65% of the cost of American drivers. And America gains no Mexican freight because we have to pay full price for Mexican fuel. NAFTA can cost 500,000 jobs Mr. Romney. This is not something our nation can afford.

Mitt Romney this is the tip of the Iceberg of problems, yet if you campaign, or just promise, to remove these… we will come.

California alone, when they enact this law, will skyrocket costs and impact the economy. Truckers, if 13% of all driving happens there, do 56.277 billion miles in California. This represents about 10 billion gallons of fuel.

The California Cap and Tax combined with their fuel requirement will therefore remove an additional 26 billion dollars from the economy of the United States.

Couple this Mr. Romney with the lost productivity (which you know and I know will drive costs up) and you are talking a minimum of a 10% increase in the national costs of trucking (The California cost alone) to as high as a 20% increase. Various rules and regulations, coupled with NAFTA threaten to cost us at least 600,000 jobs as well.

Mr. Romney I have painted the picture for you. Truck drivers are aware of these problems and we can provide donations. We need a show of support. Not a half arsed one, but a full showing of support. If you do support us know that Teamster drivers will have conflicts of heart and many will support you.

Mr. Romney if you support drivers and truck companies you gain the support of 1.5 million small businesses, 3 million enthusiastic voters, and you fix a portion of the economy to boot. You show a sign of support and I will work hard to grass roots drivers to give you a hundred or more in donations each. They will come out for you. They will even advertise for you at cost or as donations.

Trucking for Romney (if he listens)… I am Michael Harrington and I endorse this message!

Barack is a man who is stumbling hard, like a drunk. His campaign is pretty much self destructing in a manner I did not expect but am pleased to see.

Liberals take heed. This is something you should feel alarmed about.

First there is gas prices. By vetoing the Keystone XL pipeline, as well as easy proof he has blocked permits on Federal lands and especially the Gulf of Mexico, has created a viewpoint that he is uncaring about the price people pay at the pump.

Obama is trying to ride a wave of successful private and State land drilling… but as pump prices rise ever higher this will be seen for what it is… a lie.

Next we have coal power. Until recently coal power was on the Presidents ‘kill on sight’ list with his famous quote “Electric prices will necessarily have to sky rocket”. His EPA passed harsh requirements which will prevent new Coal fired Power plants from opening and is designed to ultimately shut all of them down. Several have shut down already in fact.

Then someone in his staff saw three States he won by narrow margins… are huge on coal power. These battle ground States will carve him up and serve the Presidency to Romney. So suddenly on the Obama power chart “Clean Coal” replaces “Fuel Efficiency”. Good luck with that… coal miners, power plant workers and people now seeing their power bills rise have been hearing this for three years.

North Carolina was supposed to be a smart choice… a State they marginally won that could be influenced to turn to the Democrats… or at least that was the argument. So far there has been a scandal over exclusively hiring out of State union workers for some of the stuff, a gay sex scandal involving the committee chairperson (who resigned in shame and was voted back in by loyal cronies at the State level… much to the humiliation of many Dems)….

Where was I… oh yeah… the State overwhelmingly passed the day before his outing himself a No Gay Marriage law (a very strict one at that), the Unions are pissed at him for choosing a Right to Work State (even with them getting some exclusive contracts), he is short by 30 million dollars for the Convention, he booted out ‘lobbyists’ and ‘corporations’ from donating to it in a very public way… only to have organizers provide back doors, he is renting the “Bank of America” properties which pisses off his 99% followers, they were forced to cut from 5 days to 3 days due to lack of funds, and… oh my this list is getting long… some businesses want to not be involved and are being public about it.

So did you hear the Presidents Gay? No seriously… there is a guy who was once chums with Obama who claims he and Baracky boy had fun times in the backs of cars together. But then Barack recently said he is pro-gay marriage. Amazing choice huh?

Only the problem here is Joe “the wonderboy” Biden seems to have sucker punched Barack so he might have a better chance in 2016 of getting elected (hahahahahahahah). Barack had been walking a very tight rope avoiding a direct response but seeming to ‘care’ about the issue. Most strategists agree that Biden forced the issue (thanks to NBC) and Barack was cornered like a rat so had an amazing coming out and supporting gays (which is going to get him as much as 50 mil imho).

The problem is that it loses him a lot of votes. First it reaffirms to the religious that he cares not for their values (see attacks upon Christianity below), second most black voters do not hold this view, third most States (35 IRC) have made Constitutional Amendments or Laws banning gay marriage, some by huge landslides, and fourth a super majority of the population feels he did it for political reasons and not because he actually cares about the issue. Including coincidentally some battle ground States. Oops!

Unemployment ‘looks down’ but feels up. Why is this? Well it is because the huge number of people who ran out of their 99 weeks and quit looking for work. Add in the underemployed and the underpaid and actual unemployment is hovering near 16%. Each unemployed person has to wonder if Mitt can get them working again successfully. The polls show most people are uncomfortable with how Obama has handled the Economy.

Attacks on Christians… a strategic blunder if I ever saw one. Obama gave an exemption for Muslims on the issue of Abortificants, Birth Control, and similar ‘trouble stuff’. This nation is highly Catholic, and a LOT of Universities, Private Schools, Hospitals, and Donation Centers are Catholic based. His actions have shown he HATES the Catholic Church despite Catholic voters being a big source of his 2008 win. A 3% shift in how they vote will lose the election for him.

But his troubles do not stop there. The LGBT groups singled out Mormon churches for the no Gay Marriage law passed in California (2008 I think) and the Mormons remember that. Obama just put his *censored* into the subject and now they will lockstep with Mitt on the issue. Mitt gains the Mormons and a larger amount of Catholics than he should have.

But wait we are not done yet! In 2010 and 2011 the Jewish community started showing they are upset with the Democrats as well. Normally this group is considered attached to the Democrat hip… but they kicked a New York politician for the Dems to the curb in an astonishing upset. That they are switching sides has gone uncommented upon as of yet, but the truth is they are changing sides in large divots.

Unions…. wow…. Keystone XL, Coal Mines, Trucking Regulations, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and more. Obama may have lost some serious support from the Unions. No wait… he has lost a lot of support from the Unions. Oh they say they are together in bed and such… but Obama won’t aid the Unions, and the Unions have stopped aiding Obama.

Worse is the membership in Unions. The number of volunteers is way down and the various fights at the State level have sucked funds from them. In fact when a State becomes Right to Work the Public Employee union rolls typicallly drop to under 20%.

The 99% was supposed to be the left’s answer for the Tea Party (after the Coffee Party fell asleep at the wheel and died). Obama and many top Democrats quickly endorsed them and support came hard and fast from the left. Only to have thes people defecate on cop cars, graffiti land marks, stink up parks and neighboring businesses, and otherwise make the life of people around them miserable.

Crime rates went up, acts of violence against the cops kept happening, a bomb plot involving several bridges was foiled, and other really nasty stuff was uncovered. They also were bigoted, racist remarkably white in nature, and asked rape victims to take one for the team.

Stock Markets… Obama went and did his GM thing which when he seized some of the ownership from investors and gave it to the Union… cooled a lot of them to Obama for fear he would seize assets of theirs as well. His diatribes against them, that stupid super audit bill, and his choosing to scare monger over-sea’s money further iced the relationship. Obama raked in money from them in 2008… Now he gets a trickle. Of course two of his bff’s Chris Dodd and Barney Franks had nothing to do with that.

In fact recently in April Obama lost a lot of fundraising revenue compared to March. Turns out that the consensus is this is bankers turning their aid to Mitt Romney. Apparently J.P. Morgan is now best chums with Mitt.

Campaign staff is usually not a big issue… but Obama is spending fistfuls of money on his huge staff… and this started way early. His spending here is out of control and has been eating more than he brings in. Yes he had a decent sized bank account to absorb the losses…. but that is depleting fast.

On the subject of staff he has had several problems with how he treats women. His staffers earn far less if female than if male, are typically kept at positions lower than their skill range and it has been noticed. Additionally he has taken heat for a staffers attack on Anne Romney being a stay at home mom. This was damaging to many of his soccer mom votes.

But wait… the hatred of feminists does not stop there. He accepted into his PAC a million dollar donation from a man who routinely is abusive in the extreme about women. His campaign just found some bad news this week about how he is percieved by women…. for the first time since possibly Reagan, probably before that, a Republican Candidate is polling higher for single women than the Democrat candidate. This poll was done by a liberal news source.

Obama has lost a lot of support of students as well. Most show signs of disillusionment with the President. A popular quote is “He had two year where he could do anything. Instead he passed a healthcare law less radical than the one proposed by Nixon”.

His Healthcare law did not win him points either. A majority of the nation wants it REPEALED, not amended but REPEALED. His signature ‘achievement’ is due to collapse via the Supreme Court.

Worse are the holes inside of it. Aka the black hole that would suck all our money into it, the gaps developing in Medicare/Medicaid coverage, the holes in our new technology, the holes which represent lost jobs as the taxes on hardware manufacturers goes on. To many holes for him to fill.

Obama has not been good on the Internet either. Truth Squad’s, Julia, failures to get Twitter hits, and more. His internet campaign is being ridiculed by an internet empowered right and we own Twitter… as in he launches a campaign thing there, in less than 20 minutes it is completely shot down and ruined.

Oh then there is his Presidency staffers. Chu, Napolitano, and others each have their scandal. Chu backed $9.00 a gallon gasoline and other hard environmental left stances. Then there is the TSA grope sessions, Fast and Furious deaths, Solyndria Loans, recess appointments when Congress was not in Recess, and more. So much more. One of his staffers is in Right Wing news almost daily in a light he should be worried about.

Then there is his commercials. I quote myself here “Really? WTF is his staff smoking”. I hope they have a half years supply because their commercials are all easily crushed with counter commercials.

Now to quote a section of a post from a famous blogger:

I mean, yes: we’ve had it noted that Obama only racked up 59.4% of the West Virginia primary vote; 80.9% of New Hampshire’s; and 79.2% of North Carolina’s. But here are some other primary race vote totals, thus far (all via The Green Papers): Rhode Island, 83.4%. Louisiana, 76.5%. Alabama, 80.8%. Massachusetts, 81.2%, Oklahoma, 57.1%. To give you a baseline… if you remove places like American Samoa or Guam, if I read this right in 2004 George Bush never dipped below 89.5% (Idaho) of the primary vote in states he won and 79.6% (New Hampshire) in states that he didn’t. Other states of note in 2004, to give you an idea: Alabama, 92.8%. Kentucky, 92.5%. Massachusetts, 90.6%. Rhode Island, 84.9%.

From Moe Lane’s post here

What that shows is Obama cannot get people motivated AND many are actually upset. There is word an Open Primary State might actually give a Democrat other than Barack the win…

The fundraising part bears attention. Typically a Presidential candidate offers assistance for some campaigns from what I read. But Obama rejected Wisconsin Democrats and has rejected the Wisconsin Unions AND rejected the DNC as well from requests they made for funds. In a parallel the Unions have balked at aiding Barack. Obama is trying to win even if it costs him many congressional battles.

Barack has been living it up as well. He has golfed… well I understand it as… more than any President ever has even when they had two terms. The parties are also quite… numerous… and Michelle just loves to take a huge entourage along with her to vacations on tax payer dimes… This flies in the face of the sick, the hungry, the unemployed, those with Staycations, and those who hate such luxurious activities. Live it up Michelle!

Immigration has proved to be a two edged sword for Obama. He promotes this DREAM via executive fiat that pisses the right off… while he removes more illegal immigrants than Bush which pisses the left off. He fell hard on that sword.

I close with a talk of disclosure. Obama is less transparent than he says he is which is less than he campaigned to be. He and his staff avoid answering questions as much as they can to the media. He and his staff do not give information to Congress except when forced to. He and his staff do their best to hide damaging information by breaking it in chunks and releasing it in an avalanche of other documents on a Friday afternoon.

In fact there is an alarming level of lack of accountability on various programs and departments and the public feels it.

Bill Clinton himself said that Barack is running an amateur campaign.

I feel Barack is burying his party for us… he will lose the Presidency, his self centered efforts will result in losses in the House and Senate, and the effects will be felt for at least a decade. He will also go down in history as one of the five worst Presidents for sure, if not the worst when angry liberals turn on him.

Obama declared war on Truck Drivers

In a new regulation put out by the Department of Transportation (a while back in fact) truckers were going to have to put a device to track them in every truck. Obama’s DoT specifically singled out several providers of such devices (Read Cronyism) as appropriate vendors. All trucks were going to need these devices installed.

DoT said the reason was safety. However, as records indicate, Trucking has only gotten safer in the more recent years and is still proceeding on a down-ward spiral into less accidents. In fact the level is something that if it was a stock would indicate a mass sell off and a soon to be dead company! Trucking is currently safer than it ever has been in the History of the United States

These devices, commonly known by the first provider…. Qualcomm’s… would track all drivers and allow companies the ability to send messages. The system is quite expensive (A typical word can cost a dollar). The idea was to force electronic logging of driving time on drivers. However the need for such is not really there. There is a program to mandate it on companies with a lot of log book violations, which I endorse, but this regulation would put all drivers on the log and make things… difficult.

Some drivers have never used a computer in their lives. Others are finding it hard when they are asked by a company to operate the different functions of the electronic logs. However we got lucky. A lawsuit succeeded in Federal Court to stop Obama from proceeding. While specious in my opinion, it is with merit. The reason given was that trucking company dispatchers could ‘harass’ a driver with the devices (This in fact can and does happen). But Obama wont let this stop him. He has a history of not letting go of his ideas.

This unfortunately fits a pattern for Obama as he is truly attacking American Drivers. As seen on my website http://michaelharrington.org/nafta/ Obama and his policies will cost American drivers up to 600,000 jobs.

WORSE is yet on the horizon as well, as over half a million small businesses (Truck drivers who own their own trucks) could close (aka lose their trucks) due to high Diesel prices thanks to policies Obama has forced upon the oil industry as much as he can. Yes this is a guess by me, but based on the previous fuel problems we had under Bush the number may be spot on. Truck drivers who do not have a fuel adjustment built into their contract of some sort are reporting a loss of 75% of their take home income. You heard that right… Drivers who used to take home $2,000 a month to pay their mortgage, to pay electric bills, to give their children clothes and such…. are now earning $500 a month in take home pay. How would you live with 25% of your current pay?

Society seems ignorant of the plight of American Truck Drivers, and the true test on our economy will start this summer. Gasoline and Diesel prices will be followed closely by sky rocketing prices on goods at the store. When Gasoline prices keep rising past what economists estimated… you know the reason why is that less truck drivers are able to deliver fuel at a competitive rate and less trucks are available to deliver the fuel. There is a saying you will see on some trucks: “Trucks, we bring good stuff”. Well the goods will be stopped in some cases for lack of means to move it.

Obama is not stopping with NAFTA, Electronic Logs, or CSA2010 either. No… He has pushed our trucks into “Green Machines” and keeps mandating new standards. It is a sad fact that a modern Semi-Truck takes in dirtier air than the air it puts out the smoke stack. This has only increased the average cost of a Semi-Truck to 125% of what it used to be. Yes Obama has carried out his dream of “Green” on trucks, though his efforts to force car drivers to buy the more expensive Chevy Volts has faltered.

Hear our plea, here our cries for help. Support trucking, call a member of congress, or even donate today to the cause.

America lives on trucking

I am Michael Harrington, and I endorse this message!

Obama may spend 2 billion thanks to Super PAC’s

No one has said as much, but consider that the left is desperate, the Super PAC’s have changed the game, and Soro’s and such may go all in.

That part is just my 0.02 dollars

So what can we do about it?

We can argue over the current crop of candidates, all of which are bloodied and limping, or we can push for a brokered convention.

In a brokered convention there is a chance for one candidate to get max donations from everyone following that person, a chance for Super PAC’s supporting that candidate to get flushed full of money, for a rapid organization of infrastructure as ever could be seen, and volunteers who would be more fanatical than RonPaulBots (but in a good sort of way)

That Candidate is:

Sarah Palin

Let’s face it… she woo’s the crowd where-ever she goes. She has supporters aplenty even to make Ron Paul look weak, she has an established staff, name recognition, and more.

She can be our hope in these trying times, she can be the one that we all can unite around, and the one we can name MADAM PRESIDENT.

As a candidate myself, I have noticed that despite reality, we do not often enough pay attention to bilingual minorities or to those who do not speak English.

In fact in chagrin I plan a Spanish page on my own website after thinking deeper about this.

I had thought of this a while ago, and intended to try to push for us to not just get a person to write for us, but for every candidate to be able to passably speak and write a different language.

The value of knowing how to speak to minorities in their language is an amazing boost to the votes you can get from that group.

I believe Bush, a moderate, won due to his outreach in Spanish to Spanish Speakers. Every edge counts!

We Conservatives are correct in wanting to give everyone the gift of a single language, as studies show if you fluently speak and write English you earn more than otherwise (Statistically speaking).

But we also then ignore those who have trouble with languages, who feel they are to old to learn a new language, those who are deaf, and those the Democrats supress by placing them in ‘native language’ classes.

Lets not kid ourselves… legal immigrants are very staunchly pro-American, let us channel this for Conservative values.

To that end, finally, in January I started learning Tagalog (The Filipino language).

Having examined language programs I found one that can work for my schedule. I am not associated in anyway with, but just use a paid for copy, of an app called LLingo, which you can choose from dozens of languages.

Of course there is Rosetta Stone and others.

This is something we as an ideology need to incorporate into our structure. Being bilingual is not a chore, not useful…. but a necessity for stopping the tide of liberalism.

As always this is just my .02 cents.
