In an article, Beware the church of climate alarm, The Sydney Morning Herald documents the work of Ian Plimer, a geologist, professor, and global warming un-believer.

In a speech at the American Club in Sydney on Monday night for Quadrant magazine, titled Human-Induced Climate Change – A Lot Of Hot Air, Plimer debunked climate-change myths.

“Climates always change,” he said. Our climate has changed in cycles over millions of years, as the orbit of the planet wobbles and our distance from the sun changes, for instance, or as the sun itself produces variable amounts of radiation. “All of this affects climate. It is impossible to stop climate change. Climates have always changed and they always will.”

Plimer debunks the “carbon dioxide” myth. Using a chart plotting levels of carbon dioxide and temperature over a span of 500 million years, he shows “There is no relationship between CO2 and temperature.”.

Professor Plimer is publishing a new book coming out in early 2009, Heaven And Earth: The Missing Science Of Global Warming. Available now is Red Hot Lies: How Global Warming Alarmists Use Threats, Fraud, and Deception to Keep You Misinformed by Christopher Horner.

Also, the Windsor Star, is reporting that an international poll shows that less and less people are being fooled by the world-wide propaganda effort to shove the junk science of man-made global warming down our throats.
