I just posted something that demolishes Franken’s undervote strategy. I dismantled Franken’s argument by finding out what types of ballots were used here in Minnesota.

They’re so straightforward that even a liberal can fill them out properly.

    First.. The 13th… and not a Friday… shoot… anyway…

We hate to tell them (non-Conservatives), but we did, and earned the Right to say TOLD YOU SO!

They (Democrats and the Pro-Handout crowd), of course, won’t admit it, they will fall for it over and over again. Bailout after bailout after hand-out requests. What am I talking about!?!?

    Trouble Assets Relief Plan…
The TARP (as we all knew) was nothing but a TRAP and reeks like the CRAP that it is. Time for it to be SCRAPED!

It’s no longer post election coverage as we are just now 722 days until the 2010 elections.

AP headline today- “Almost 1 million expected at Obama inaugration.” Out of about 115 million voters (not population) is that all?

  • charliej

So we’re going back to the future with obama….????

52 (who voted) is going to get what it deserves; 48 (+ about 20 who didn’t vote) get your act together and quit listening to “squishes..”

  • towdogInCal

Another poster proposed this yesterday, I’d like to keep it alive as it was a good idea.
$5 each sent to Saxby on Saturday to help in the coming runoff next month.
Posting from my cellphone so links aren’t possible, hopefully someone here can direct you.
Getting toward critical mass there, keep it alive!

I know his past character flaws make him unelectable, but he truly is the most brilliant, articulate voice the conservative movement has.

I remember scoffing at him when he was considering running for President, but honestly, I would have rather lost this election with a Newt Gingrich than a John McCain.

I do think Newt can lead this party out of the wilderness. I’m not sure what his future plans are within the Party, but Republicans should look to him for leadership, he’s been here before.

I don’t think he could ever become President (unless Obama REALLY screws up) but he certainly could be the leader of the conservative movement, similar to Barry Goldwater.

Republican leaders, whatever Newt tells you to do, DO IT!

    • JLenardDetroit

      that’s the new one

  • Lysander

can anyone tell me how to post a youtube clip here?? I am pretty new and can’t figure out how to do it.

  • havermeyer

2012 is 4 years away, who knows what will happen or who will run. I’m just saying is all.

What’s up with the Governor that went to CNN to bash Palin this morning? What the heck is that about? Did anyone watch? The quote says that you can tell by some of the faces that they didn’t want to be there. Who looked upset to be there? I didn’t watch. I’m just really curious as to why a governor would go to CNN like a b* and complain about Palin leading the press conference. Why hate on that?

  • Raven

    Point for me…

    rush

Newsbusters uses the term that better describes what it actually is. Henceforth we should all call it the Censorship Doctrine

Republicans blaming UAW for auto collapse

Want to know a sure fire way to lose every single seat in the rust-belt and midwest? Blame the workers, of course! Then they’ll blame ACORN when, inexplicably, the Midwest looks like New England in 2 years. BLUE AS BLUE CAN BE, BABY!

This is one of those cases of a right-wing point being so retarded there’s almost no way to argue it, but how do we counter these morons without debasing ourselves by calling them retarded right off the bat?

    Maybe b/c you can’t argue?

I furthered my belief that they are a bunch of idiots AND Im so happy to be at Redstate.

When the Censorship Doctrine comes up, and it will, if the current Bush appointed FCC gets out of the way, it may not be as bad as we might think. On Conservative talk radio, some may surely go, and I will miss alot of them, some not. Rush brings in so many advertising dollars, the station owners can afford to give the liberals blank time to the Dims and still be ahead.

    • John_Wayne

do they let the liberals use crayons and not criticize if they color outside the box?

      • John_Wayne

        n/t

        • JPH

how many people attended Bush’s inauguration?

          • JPH

then R’s wonder why they lose. You’ll almost never see Dems doing this to each other. Pathetic.

  • JPH

on ABC. Expect some news out of that one. The terrorist unleashed.

    2. “More clues from the radio news about the way we are now: I learned the other day that President-elect Obama is ?tackling the economy.? But I thought the economy was already bruised and down? What good will tackling it do?”

    3. “What is the Obama administration going to do with those of us who just don?t want to ?come together”?”

    • Lysander

Deomcratic Congress in 2010. The Conservative outrage will literally cause every single Republican, Libertarian, and Open-minded Independent to come out in droves and go vote against the Dems.

Hannity and Savage also bring in millions of audiences and there is no way their stations will let them go. On a whole other note, I am sure that a legal team has already been set up to challenge this and it will surely be overturned by the Supreme Court.

Does anyone know if the Censorship Doctrine applies to Sirius Satellite radio????

      • towdogInCal

I was actually wondering about that yesterday. You would think not, but one could argue the sat fires its signal through the air similar to the way radio does, but it’s a vertical signal instead of horizontal.
        So….
Those thinking the Unfairness Doctrine wouldn’t apply to cable TV, MSNBC’s signal comes via sat broadcast to our homes as well, wouldn’t it apply? Direct TV, I mean, carries signal via SHF band straight to our homes.
What’s the difference that would enable the FCC to regulate one differently from the other?

        • SteveLA

Cable, and XMSirius are pay services. They are mostly exempt from regulation as they are not free to air. That’s why Howard Stern gets away with being Howard on Sirius.

The Spectrum they operate on has been bought and paid for, not public airwaves so I think cable and pay radio would be exempt from the long arm of the fairness doctrine and the FCC.

          • Siberian

As a crowd of more than 200,000 ? including three former presidents ? looked on, George W. Bush uttered 35 words that marked the beginning of his second term in office:

            Link

            And from the AP:

The largest crowd ever recorded on the National Mall was for President Lyndon B. Johnson’s 1965 inauguration. At the time, the park service estimated 1.2 million people descended on the area. In 1981, President Ronald Reagan’s inauguration drew about 500,000 people, and President Bill Clinton’s 1993 inauguration drew about 800,000 people, according to park service estimates.

          • Lysander

it would not affect Sirius Satellite radio?? If that is true then I could see many radio braodcasters movingtheir operations over to them.

I am curious about the legal arguement regarding the censorship doctrine. I can’t see the Supreme Court allowing it to go through. Am I wrong here???

Any legal experts want to weigh in on this.

          • JPH

Then what’s the big deal if the Messiah gets 1m? Johnson got more, Clinton was close, shouldn’t the One get something like 5 million?

          • Lysander

            .

  • RightWingIt

I maybe wrong here, but Pawlenty as Gov is not allowed to interfere in the recount process. That goes to Mark Ritchie (Secretary of State of MN) who is unfortunately was/is connected with ACORN. I believe “Stanken” is going to steal this election.

If that does happen, the Dems need one more seat in the Senate to block any filibuster. All eyes will be on the run-off election between Chambliss and Martin that is scheduled for December 2, 2008 (in GA). Also, keep watching Lieberman to see if he switches back to his old party…but there was talk of him caucussing w/ the GOP next year. We’ll see.

    • towdogInCal

…in satellite radio then. In fact, how much money went to the Democrat legislators from companies like Sirius who are proposing bringing back the unfairness doctrine exactly?

      Smelling mucho ratas aqui.
