Tim Geithner Gets The Full Maxine Waters Experience

Your Democratic Congressional Majority At Work

Most of us have had the experience at one point or another in our lives of getting stuck in a conversation with someone who is irrational and full of conspiracy theories. If you are particularly unfortunate, that person is a member of your family, your boss, a judge, or otherwise someone you can’t afford to just blow off. But pity poor Tim Geithner as it dawns on him that he has to answer questions from such a person – in this case, Congresswoman Maxine Waters – under oath, on camera, knowing that she is a powerful political ally of his boss (Geithner is not the first to have this experience). Geithner’s facial expressions in this video are just priceless:

I could take a pretty good guess as to why Goldman Sachs in particular is the subject of Waters’ conspiracy theories about the secret power of financiers, and I’m guessing it’s not because of Henry Paulson. Of course, Waters may just be assuming everyone else does business with bank regulators the way she does.

    The first reason being I try not to submit to listening to nails on a blackboard, and the second being I wanted to take Dan’s advice and concentrate on Geithner trying to understand what in the living hell she was saying.

      And by the time it was over, I was laughing so hard Hubby wanted to see what was so funny. It was especially funny because I have subjected myself to listening to that moonbat speak in other appearances and swore there could not be a dumber human in America.

    She was correctly showing the world how these “Wall Street” fatcats are all Democrats. Now I am sure Ms. Waters believes they are closet Republicans trying to destroy the poor but that just adds to the enjoyment of her insanity.

    I find all this populist outrage pretty hilarious. What is it, like 54% of all workers don’t even pay Federal Income Tax? And half of those that don’t pay probably get a “bailout” in the form of an EITC.

    I wonder how they’d feel if I was outraged about how they were spending my tax dollars. Monitoring EITC recipients spending habits is probably in the Obama budget, LOL.

    Thank God it’s 5 pm, because after watching that I need a drink.

    That woman is beyond belief.

    It depresses the heck out of me that she’s in Congress, that any American voted for her, and that our democracy allows people dumb enough to vote for her to vote at all.

    God help us.

    Maxine appears to have as good a handle as anyone I’ve heard on the self-serving Wall Street./ government connection. She seems to grasp the fundamental concept of Wall Street firms rewarding Congresscritters to carry their water.

    …while listening to that, I seem to have had some kind of out of body experience, and, heaven help me, it began to make a sort of squirrelly, alternate universe sense to me…

    …then I felt a bit of dampness on my shoulder, and looked down to find that my brain was slowly leaking out of my ear and dripping onto my shirt…what a mess, and it was a clean shirt too, darn it all…

    As much of a failure in his new job as he is, Mad Max has been at it a lot longer And she musch better at demostrating how much of a failure she is. At least time is trying. Mad Max wouldn’t know how.
    It would seem as though a pound of paper pulp has more collective potential intelligence than Un-Representing Waters.
    At least paper pulp can be turned into something useful later in its life cycle, say perhaps a great Tom Clancy novel, or something a little less glamorous like the New York Times. But hey, the NYT gets recycled again as bird cage liner!
    There’s something she could do if she ever got her brain in gear!
    This woman is a disgrace to women everywhere.

    She’s trying to poison pill GS and the Wall Street crowd and open the field to more than 5 players. She want her ‘community’ bank to get a piece. That’s the only ‘logic’ I can find in her tortured sentences and confusing questions.

    Timmy we are so glad to hear that you are concerned the taxpayers will enjoy the best type of expertise to manage these funds. Since we haven’t enjoyed any other type of management of this whole bail out ,trillion dollar spending spree. Thanks so much.
