To be honest I’m looking forward, not backwards, to this all coming out, Nancy is going to get burned. I think that this is all a set up by Rahambo, he wants and needs to clip Nancys wings a bit, so I think he is trying to kneecap her so that she will be more compliant or reseptive to BOs agenda

After all, these are the people who voted to authorize the use of force in Iraq, and later said they didn’t think it would actually be “used.”

It might derive from the Congressional Two-Step that they’re used to. They “authorize” spending, and then they “appropriate” the funds to be spent. In their minds, they “authorized” the use of EIT, but they didn’t go so far as to actually “appropriate” the force. They thought it could always be sent back to committee.

Yes, I guess George W. Bush was ordering up OLC memos as an intellectual exercise, so he could kick back and read some dense legal reasoning to unwind at the end of a long day of not using the anti-terrorism tools at his disposal on captured Al Qaeda leaders.
