Alan Grayson Calls Female Advisor To Bernanke A “Whore”

Stay Classy, Alan Grayson

Like many Americans, you may not have heard of Congressman Alan Grayson before he claimed that Republicans, because they oppose government-rationed health care, want sick people to “die quickly.” Not only did Grayson refuse to apologize for this nonsense, he has been raising money hand over fist from left-wingers who place a high value on making the health care debate nastier and more partisan. Although Grayson, who employs left-wing hateblogger Matt Stoller (some samples of Stoller’s work here), did finally have to apologize to the Anti-Defamation League when he compared the GOP’s position on health care to the Holocaust, as a general rule, he is following the path of a child who gets rewarded for acting up: more bad behavior with the expectation of more cookies.

Which brings us to him calling Linda Robertson, a senior advisor to Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, a “whore”:

Longer video, with the quote starting around 1:50, below the fold:

(I don’t know the genesis of this video, which has some … odd choices for images).

Far be it from me to suggest that Alan Grayson should tone down his act. Hey, he’ll probably get another cookie from his enablers.

Classy guy, huh? Guess he’s taking this whole “rock star of the DNC” thing to heart…

    • cz111

He should be prosecuted for impersonating a conservative?or switch Parties; we could use him!!

I don’t think I even want a clone of Grayson in the Republican party. Besides, we’ve purged out our Grayson’s bit by bit. Some days I wished that some would cane him(beat him with an old person’s cane).

      • E Pluribus Unum

I would say “nice try”, but it really wasn’t. As a Moby, you’re not going to get past 1A ball.

you we will never get a response back.

    ,,, just sayin

  • JadedByPolitics

what a ignorant piece of sludge!

  • makemyday

between taking this guy down or ignoring him. Let him beat his chest and scream. All he is is a louder version of the typical left and that can’t really be good for them. A sitting congressman who sounds like this won’t be sitting very much longer.

    • ciscoguy

Me? I’ll take Dick Cheney making articulate, coherent and reasoned criticisms of the ditherer-in-chief.

    • gemimail

This loudmouth is toast and he knows it. He is the 15th most vulnerable Democrat in the House. He got 52.01 % of the votes with a winning margin of 4.03% in a great Democrat year. This is his first term in Congress. There are more registered Republicans than Democrats in his district. He knows he is going down so I guess he figures he might as well go out with a bang instead of a whimper.

  • Jack_Savage

Whether Democrats call them whores or treat them like whores or actually go out and pay for a whore, it will never matter. You know – “it’s how I vote, not what I actually do…”

  • oldgeezerguy

Wexler is stepping down and somebody has to play loose cannon for the FL Dems, not that there aren’t a few already in residence.

Sooner or later he will let his mouth get way to far out ahead of what he can justify.

  • tjexcite

in 2010 regardless of what he says and the GOP (dem light) that they put up against him will not do a bit of difference and he knows this.

  • mfarmer

This guy is one creepy orgre.

    • proudgop

I am so sure NOW already has press release calling on the nutty Grayson to apologize right? NOT

      • http://www.redstate.com/tnjim TNJim

Why? See Palin, Sarah, Palin, Bristol, Palin, Willow v. Letterman.

  • http://charlemagne-the-hammer.blogspot.com/ DerKrieger

…on these “left-wingers who place a high value on making the health care debate nastier and more partisan.” now?

We all know Lefties are all bile and no backbone. They’re all a bunch of sissy cowards who would never survive a civil war with us should it ever come to that. Let’s stop playing games with these totalitarians and start playing hardball.

  • Achance

about one thing. American Lefites can only grow in places where it is safe for them to grow; they’ve never really had any opposition in most places. A NY, MA, CA, IL, or DC Lefty has never even been in the same room with somebody who disagrees with him/her. Anything resembling effective opposition usually sends the running for the hills. As an example, everyone in politics will tell you how fearsome the National Extortion, excuse me, Education, Association is, but in my world of collective bargaining, they’re the biggest wusses you’ll ever deal with; nobody’s ever played hard with them and they don’t know how to deal with it.

Outside their communist bloc of Blue states, Lefties are a bunch of wusses.

  • andysmith

then someone needs to be fired. Period.

    • IJB

If the Dems want even a chance of holding this seat, they’re going to need to make Grayson ‘sleep with the fishes’.

I’m guessing he’s getting the ‘hard shove’ right now, and being ordered to soon announce that he won’t be running again in 2010.

(Of course, if the Dems can’t get him to do that, then we’ll *know* Grayson is crazy!!)

      • ciscoguy

How would you like to be the democrat replacing that guy? I think it will be awhile before that district votes blue again.

      • illinoisconservative

of the lefties.. and they are rewarding him with tons of cash.. So, if money means anything in a race, I wouldn’t bet the farm against the guy.

Hopefully, the loudmouth that he is, he will finally say something so egregious that even the lefties will have to disavow him.. like they had to do with Van Jones. But, they’ll still probably blame it all on Glenn Beck!

        • IJB

If there’s one thing centrists *HATE* is loud-mouthed partisans like Grayson. He’s probably deader now that he would be if he were running in a *redder* district.

That said, I certainly wouldn’t put it past the Dems to use this buffoon to ring tons of cash out of the nutjobs among the nutroots, then later seize his money to use for other races while putting Grayson out to pasture.

But my point remains – if the Dems have any dreams of holding this seat, they need to get Grayson out of this race, and put another much lower-profile Dem in his place.

Otherwise, this will be probably the easiest ‘take back’ for the GOP come 2010…

  • bk

If lefties don’t have a problem with Roman Polanski drugging, raping, and sodomizing a kid, why should we act shocked or outraged if one of them calls a grown woman a whore?

  • ucm4u

I’m not a fan of Greyson but did anybody listen to this video. He is in the midst of trying to pass a bill to audit the Fed Reserve. This women was an Enron lobbyist and now is Bernanke’s senior advisor. I’m not exactly sure what the “K-street whore” means. E xplain please?

    • http://www.hakubi.us/ Neil Stevens

      No buts.

  • vetwi

A liberal who says what’s really on his mind – priceless.

  • texasjay

I think you missed the point, Eric. Auditing the Fed is a GREAT idea, and something Grayson is pushing for.

And I think the label he put on Robertson is appropriate – she’s obviously for sale to the highest bidder. Unfortunately, too much of those in the federal bureaucracy could wear the same label, Grayson included [there's a YouTube video on the same page as this one in which a reporter tried to ask Grayson about his earmark which was struck].

To your point, though, NOW could wear the same label. They lack principles, having sold them to the left.

Grayson is abrasive. But are we in the conservative movement about personality, or principle? Personally, I’ll take principle.

    • janis

to call a woman a whore? You are a nasty little personality if that’s your yardstick for principles.

      • texasjay

Definition of “whore” from my Oxford Pocket Dictionary refers back to prostitute. “Prostitute: … 2. misuse (one’s talents, skills, etc.) for money”

        I’d say that’s a pretty appropriate definition.

        And you are ignorant.

        • janis

Well. let’s see how fast you get your clock cleaned around here. Then you can tell me who’s the ignorant one. WE DO NOT CALL WOMEN WHORES.

Although you apparently think that’s an option. It’s not.

          • texasjay

            And you don’t scare me.

          • Trelaina
          • janis

that word, but you hoot about “being respectful” here? I’m not looking to scare you, but you should know that this isn’t a community here that tolerates, much less encourages, that kind of language directed toward women.

If that were you mother or your wife or daughter being called that by a man, would you be so sanguine about it?

          • http://applescorneroftheorchard.blogspot.com/ Pomme

You call Janis ignorant, and say it’s OK to call women whores, and you’re the respectful one?

Stay on that classy bus with Grayson and NOW, texasjay!

          • penguin2

to paint such a broad brush. “obviously for sale to the highest bidder.”
You should keep your opinion to yourself.

    • Achance

you’re simply a moby here. You keep saying all this “we” and “principle” stuff since you think that conservatives might respond well to it. Grayson may have some principles but they’re not principles that anyone here in good faith would share.

And whatever one might think of the negotiability of the virtue of any lobbyist, it is unseemly for a member of Congress to refer to ANY woman as a whore. If he were a good Democrat he’d be out trying to organize DC’s hard working, honest sex workers, or at least patronizing them so they can work their way through college more comfortably.

shaking out for you? Hope your life is improving from what it was a couple of months ago.

As to your comment, our Art doesn’t have to be guided by the White House to produce something. But I’d sure like to watch what would happen if they tried it!

          • http://applescorneroftheorchard.blogspot.com/ Pomme

            And in today’s economy…

My life has indeed improved from where it was a few months ago! Thanks for asking!

      • texasjay

        Not likely.

I’m a Dallas Tea-partyer, and a member of several conservative grass roots groups here.

I enjoy reading RedState, and cross-post to FB regularly. It annoys my D friends.

But I also believe in being honest and respectful.

I don’t agree with Grayson on all the issues he pushes. I happen to agree with him on auditing the Fed, and the review of the Feds authority. But I also know several Rs who are more liberal than he is. The party affiliation isn’t what impresses me.

If Robertson had been a man, no one would have blinked on this Blog. The label Grayson applied is appropriate.

        • http://applescorneroftheorchard.blogspot.com/ Pomme

Who knew it was honest and respectful to call a woman that name?

Jesus didn’t call a woman who was most certainly one that name. Why do you feel it is appropriate?

you wouldn’t be saying the stuff you are. Grayson has said a number of things that are unacceptable to many citizens in this country. Don’t you think you could find someone else to admire about the Fed auditing issues than him?

        • janis

every single female relative you have right not living or dead and see if you find it honest and respectful? I’ll start with your grandma…..

        • http://www.hakubi.us/ Neil Stevens

Go apologize for that socialist freak Grayson elsewhere. You and he are clearly of the same ilk, and we have no time for that.

Maybe the whore will bitch-slap him next time she spots him on K Street.

A K Street whore is a lobbyist who will promote any position, no matter how bizarre, for money.

    • texasjay

That would just give him more press.

And your definition of “K Street Whore” mirrors what I posted.

Our government, our Congress, the Administration, our tax funds, all have a big “For Sale” sign. How many in Obama’s administration are from Wall Street bailout firms?

  • mycountry

or genuine Barf Bag? Good luck Dems..

  • jnoeagle

is not someone of oriental ethnic background. Often. A word is just a word, and it may offend or entice or whatever, but it remains just a meaningful noise. Why are we hearing so much blather about a word? Please move along!

Auditing the Fed sure looks like a good idea, if it can be done without too much interference from the K-Street workers. It is a good idea regardless, but not worth pursuing if Congress or any other group gets too many biasing fingers in the pie.

Why does it seem as if Grayson involvement convinces some that it should automatically be a bad idea.

  • sammyc

We have way more important things to do than give this guy even a second thought. He should be an embarrassment to the DNC.
