The coffin lid closes with Cap & Trade as law.

The nails get driven in with a universal health care mandate passed and signed.

The dirt gets shoveled on top with a public option added.

Gee, doesn't that sound like fun ?

I sincerely "hope" that no 'man-caused disasters' interfere with the Fascist's plans and cause "change" that completely collapses our nation's economy and eliminates everyone's rights, freedoms and liberties.

Nah, it can't happen here.

I've seen several clips of progressives waxing poetic about the inherent advantages of a public option. It is a call to arms for them, and clearly is a hill they plan to die on.

But when I ask, "what actually are those advantages?", no one can answer. I hear things like, "well we already have the Government running most of the healthcare system with Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP", and "those insurance companies are making billions in profits", but no one can ever explain the actual policy theory that shows advantages of a public plan over private insurance.

This a real question, does anyone know what those claimed advantages are?
