While the nation is going through the worst recession in modern history, our dollar is deflating because of government debt and we are electronically printing a trillion dollars; unemployment is at 10.2%, let’s tax the American people $752 billion (three quarters of a trillion dollars) and create a new entitlement and spend $1.8 trillion on something less than one in five Americans think is their top concern: health care. Three-quarters of likely voters believe the plan will force employers to give up providing insurance, shredding the “if you like it you can keep it promise.”
All while the American public overwhelmingly oppose the plan, and for triple political pain points, we can have the biggest votes on abortion, immigration, taxes, guns, the public option, Medicare cuts, massive spending and government control all rolled up in one vote, days after special elections that saw Independent voters run like scaled cats, screaming from the Democrats.
And at the same time as the President’s approval rating among likely voters glides ever downward..
Genius, isn’t it? And rational too.

The worst part of this is its effect on small and middle businesses...
Hoosier Economist Friday, November 6th at 11:22AM EST (link)Worker productivity is up 9.5% (annualized), yet labor expenditures have decreased by 5.2%. This government is impeding the growth of businesses at a crucial time during this recession. Why aren’t GOP leaders railing about THAT?
It takes people to define what political genius is...
Cheetah772 Friday, November 6th at 11:24AM EST (link)The truth is if you put all dumb people in one room, eventually, even the dumbest person will seek out whom is the least dumbest person in the room, and call that person a real genius by the virtue of the fact he’s not the dumbest person in the room. So it is with liberals and Obama.
But the problem is that there are people outside of that room, and in no way, can they ever consider that least dumbest person a genius. Liberals often accused Bush of groupthink, but it is what they are practicing in the person of Obama and his yes men.
Despite all of this, I think Obama can be rightfully said to be a real political genius — perhaps he is the One we’ve been waiting forever to lead the Democratic Party to its biggest defeat in years to come. Ha, ha, ha…
Daniel 2:20 And he [God] changeth the times and seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding.
I don't know about "genius" ...
spimnyborg Friday, November 6th at 11:31AM EST (link)not sure about “hope” (other than, I sure hope it ENDS)
but it certainly is “change”
as far as “genius” … all that comes to mind is the Coyote on the train tracks …. with the train barreling down on him unawares …

bk Friday, November 6th at 12:15PM EST (link)As are ones from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. You could say that Obama was like the Black Knight after Tuesday’s election and Pelosicare is like the rabbit. MoveOn is like the troll, tossing Dems into the abyss if they don’t give the right answer (vote). Let’s hope we can pull a King Arthur next year and toss MoveOn into the abyss when it turns out THEY have the wrong answer for the people.
Love that movie

Or, they are the knights who say NI!
And about as effective.
Obama's Marxism is in his DNA
izoneguy Friday, November 6th at 11:36AM EST (link)He just cannot help it…..
This is how he was raised and he surrounds himself with people even more left than himself.
How this country expects this Marxist Whitehouse to “create” jobs is just about the strangest thing I have ever seen…..
This MESSAGE must get out:
THE ECONOMY WILL ONLY HAVE A CHANCE TO TURNAROUND AFTER OBAMA IS DEFEATED AND IS GONE, GONE, GONE……
NO REAL RECOVERY WILL TAKE PLACE WHILE THE SOCIALISTS ARE IN CHARGE.

Well. When you put it THAT way!

JustLeaveMeAlone Friday, November 6th at 11:48AM EST (link)It’s just wacky in the rest of the world.
Sometimes I think what’s wrong with America isn’t Left or Right or Up or Down or any political party, but Washington DC.

Misery is the goal, until you understand
johnt Friday, November 6th at 11:49AM EST (link)the left craves to act out it’s aggression and hate through government the picture is not complete.
Of course they’re stupid, how does Rahm Emanuel, brilliant strategist, look right about now? Or that horse’s ass Obama prattling on at the Indian conference before getting around to the massacre.
But to the crazies of the left government has evolved into a means by which they act out the inner turmoil and bitterness that roils their minds.

Genius=Phantom Jobs
jonreagan Friday, November 6th at 12:08PM EST (link)Well, I think the best recent example of genius has to be a President announcing that he has created 650,000 jobs…..only six days before his own Labor Department announces that the economy is continuing to hemorrhage jobs.
Another 190,000 jobs lost in October, and the rate soars to 10.2%.
I mean, that’s quite a disconnect; we’re not just talking about rounding errors here. More and more, this President just makes things up and creates his own alternate reality. When Biden does it, I just chalk it up to senility. For now, we’ll just call it the bipolar administration. And ask the question: Barack, just where are all these jobs you created?
You forgot the Olympics...
martellus Friday, November 6th at 12:24PM EST (link)And they blew getting the Olympics for the US in Chicago.
The Hammer
The singular most fascinating thing about Obama
Tbone Friday, November 6th at 12:54PM EST (link)is trying to determine if he knows he is lying or if he is just that stupid.
Now, it is easy to see that Pelosi and Reid are just plain bat s**t nuts. I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that Obama maybe just as nuts compounded by pathological narcissism.
It’s like “Dude, how can you get up and banter your way into a discussion of a mass killing? Are you an idiot and your puppeteers idiots? Is there no adult at the White House?”
Envisioning when all that is Left is the Right.
New Spin Today: Improving economy has more people looking for jobs,
Achance Friday, November 6th at 1:07PM EST (link)so it only looks like unemployment is going up. It ain’t worth it to me to go look at the actual numbers, not that I trust BLS a lot anyway.
In Vino Veritas
From the man-child's speech today
joayn Friday, November 6th at 1:27PM EST (link)in the Rose Garden:
“History tells us that job growth always lags behind economic growth, which is why we have to continue to pursue measures that will create new jobs. And I can promise you that I won’t let up until the Americans who want to find work, can find work, and until all Americans can earn enough to support their families and keep their businesses open,” Obama said.
And he really thinks people believe this hooey. Boy, is that paragraph open for disection or what? I agree with other posters in that I can’t figure out if the O group is really, really stupid or ….
Yeah, they’re really, really stupid. My bad.
Let's tell the whole story
mchik1 Friday, November 6th at 1:33PM EST (link)I agree with Perrin, but there is a sin of omission. Multi-national corporations are also responsible for our declining economy. Capitalism doesn’t have to mean “greed.” at the expense of everything else. Let’s talk about outsourcing capital and jobs, insourcing cheap labor, government bailouts, trade deficits, phony free trade, etc. The middle class, well-salaried, blue-collar employee is being wiped out. Everybody cannot be lawyers, stock brokers, bankers, military officers, computer engineers, and government bureaucrats. When things get worse for the lower socio-economic classes, expect a growth in Fabian socialism and national debt. The Right Wingers keep forgetting that the biggest thing in politics is to win. You cannot win if you become slaves to “talking points” propagated by Wall Steet and the neocons.
Why is this bill so HUGE? So that it can be "Too Big To FaiL"
revwarheropeterfrancisco Friday, November 6th at 1:43PM EST (link)This is Job Security for the Erosionist Lieberal Party.
Just think about it:
Who will be the “experts” that will interpet this mounstrosity to “the masses”?
We will need 1000’s upon 1000’s of arbitrators and interpetrers who will not mend a wound or heal a soul. They will stay on for LIFE because no one else will undertsand what was “shovelled: together in the MedicalManure. Who will they be? The “experts” that wrote the bill. WHo is that? Mostly all Erosionist Lieberals that we will NEVER be able to get rid of without Picthforks and Torches.
KILL THE BILL before it KILLS ALL
Keep the education sector honest
fbks Friday, November 6th at 2:05PM EST (link)We need a private “option” to keep the public monopoly of education honest. Taxpayers should have the option to obtain vouchers for the amount they pay in school taxes and purchase private schooling of their choice for their children.
This would keep the school districts “honest”, drive down costs and improve education across the board, Access to “quality” education is unavailable to most middle class and poor Americans because the costs of private schooling continue to escalate and they cannot afford to pay high taxes for a service that they then have to purchase in the private market if their children are to have a chance for an education.
The teacher unions have a racketeering type hold on the market and anti trust laws should protect the public from the “greedy” unions and administrators. I thought the youth had a “right” to education and it is also a “social justice” issue which unfairly targets minorities and the poor……

Idiot small government banner
drfredc Friday, November 6th at 8:03PM EST (link)The reason the Obamacrats think they can get away with their take over of health care (and various) other social marketplaces is because their conservative opponents don’t even know the name of the game is ’social marketplace’.
Conservatives think “small government” is the answer. WRONG — a small government is the result of defining and implementing various individually driven social marketplaces that provide reasonably stable means to deliver goods and services to everyone, including those of limited means.
Such systems should have checks and balances against excessive political and mobocracy meddling — aka, they should be self sustaining social marketplaces as much as possible.
A small government message without an aggressive front line message supporting dynamic individually driven social marketplaces is a non-starter outside of conservative circles. Conservatives who get this message will do fine. Those who don’t are destined to remain confused as to why no one else wants to follow their small government lead.
Always, Fred C
