Now this is what passes as conventional wisdom among the Democrats, as reported by the MSM CBS News:
“Smith asked his guests to try to identify the source of the discontent: “From your experience on the Hill, have you heard any Democrats in private conversations say, ‘You know what? We went down the wrong road. We went after health care. We went after so many other things on the Obama agenda as opposed to, in the end of the day, it’s all about creating jobs?’”
“Not only have we heard that, but we’ve been hearing it for months,” said Cordes. “We heard it during the health care debate that dragged on for a year when the economy was so bad; they focused on health care and they focused on financial regulation.
“Americans don’t feel the impact of those pieces of legislation yet,” she said. “There’s a lot of frustration on Capitol Hill among Democrats who feel like the President led them down this path. They didn’t all necessarily want to deal with health care. This was on the president’s agenda, and then they felt like he kind of hung them out to dry.”
“Not a single Democrat has run an ad in support of the health care bill since April,” VandeHei noted.”
Gee, what a shock.
This is the part where the Darwin Awards get given out.
And when the ObamaCare Death Panels come true — for U.S. House Dems. Just read the MSM New York Times:
In the next two weeks, Democratic leaders will review new polls and other data that show whether vulnerable incumbents have a path to victory. If not, the party is poised to redirect money to concentrate on trying to protect up to two dozen lawmakers who appear to be in the strongest position to fend off their challengers.
This is the part where the weak minded Dems, the spineless lemmings actually get killed off by jumping over the ObamaCare cliff.
They were told, and told and told and told — but they would not listen to anyone. And the media encouraged them off the cliff.
They proudly said they would take the tough vote.
Fine. Now it is time to reap the whirlwind.
And really, I can’t wait.
Bye bye Speaker Pelosi and your naive health care push, you, Axelrod and the President can live with the political destruction you have wrought on your friends and allies with your Jonestown Kool-Aid Brigade routine.

Really, the Dems should be named the STUPID party

But Obama is the destroyer of the country, so he should go ahead and destroy his own party while he is at it.
I really hope that destruction is what we are witnessing now

My rep. voted against it before she voted for it.
NightTwister (Diary) Monday, September 6th at 12:16AM EDT (link)Like other votes, I’m sure she thought she could sell both sides with what they wanted.
Markey (CO-4) is losing by 11 pts. to her challenger (Cory Gardner) and the DCCC is already bailing on her. Perhaps she should’ve acted like the Blue Dog she claimed to be.

And wait until people find out that death panels are *real*. Ds won’t be allowed near the levers of power for another generation.

They just don’t understand that it is going to be like a sucking chest wound, and last for a decade or longer — the adverse politics I mean.
The law is going to attacked relentlessly, for years.
They are tied-at-the-hip to a chuck of very toxic politics.
You guys will get a kick out of this
finaljeopardy Monday, September 6th at 9:38AM EDT (link)We have an “independent” Democrat in NY-13, Congressman Mike McMahon. The district includes all of Staten Island, plus all or part of the Gravesend, Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst and Dyker Heights neighborhoods in Brooklyn. This district went 52% – 48% for John McCain in 2008 and has been held by a Republican since 1993.
Vito Fossella held this Congressional seat for many years, but he dropped out right before the 2008 election when a drunk driving arrest revealed details of an illegitimate child he fathered. Mike McMahon ran unopposed in a landslide year for Democrats, and Nancy Pelosi gave him a pass when it came time to vote on the healthcare bill. If we have learned anything, there is no such thing as a moderate Democrat. Republicans should take Mike McMahon out before he gets too settled in his district.
So, here is Bill Clinton stumping for Mike McMahon on Friday at Wagner College. “The one thing you got to say about this guy is he has been truly independent; he is not partisan. He has not voted for the president on every issue. On health care, for example, we New Yorkers have a special problem. We have a lot of immigrants here who are undocumented, and our hospitals claim real problems under this health-care bill.”
McMahon, while appearing alongside Clinton, did not utter the name “Obama” at all during his speech.
Meanwhile, Clinton steered clear of the controversy surrounding the proposed Ground Zero mosque. He repeatedly ducked the issue when The Post asked him whether the mosque and Islamic community center known as Park51 should be built two blocks from the World Trade Center site.
Clinton, whose reputation for skirt chasing is legendary, drew laughs when he said, “The great thing about having a wife as secretary of State who only comes home on weekends is . . .”
He quickly followed up with “I’m home a lot, so I watch television for the first time in my life.”
It is all a joke to them,

I will look into it.
