I doubt very much he can be elected Governor now, not because of this, but because he waited too long.

I’ll be shocked if he comes in more than, say, third in a Republican primary.

Don’t get me wrong - I love the guy, and wish he’d run for President years ago (or be VP nominee this past year).

But he’s waited too long now. His days are past.

As Citigroup director and consultant he was responsible for the meltdown at Citigroup. Why, he was even considered for a cabinet post in the Obama administration. Did the Dispatch run any articles calling into question his fitness to be a cabinet secretary? I didn’t think so. It’s going to be a long four years, hopefully not eight.

that the media would suddenly turn towards keeping an eye on whatever party was in power, aka “doing its job.” Obama and Co. are going to get a free ride for the next four years from the media, as they do their best to expand their power as quickly as possible. Newspapers will start getting bailouts of taxpayer money to keep them in business, and Republicans will begin losing seats in former strongholds as we quickly fade from memory. Socialism and mediocrity, here we come!
