Farewell Birthers, Hello Transcripters

Now that Barack Obama has publicly released a copy of his birth certificate, the great “birther” controversy can hopefully be put to rest.  But, like the diehard moon bats out there, some will not let it rest.  Instead, we have the whispered “Why now?” campaign gearing up.  Why now?  How about simple politics.  Why now?  Maybe because the accusations were beyond the ridiculous in the first place.  Of course, the bloviator Donald Trump took credit for this change of Obama’s heart.

However, instead of putting the issue behind us, we have moved on to another “controversy-” his college transcripts.  And guess who is quietly leading the charge by dropping innuendo?  That’s right- Donald Trump with his “just saying” and “from everything I’ve heard” comments.  So, this newest controversy may settle around who will or will not from his days at Columbia or Harvard appear on Oprahor some other show.  Whether the “transcripters” like it or not, there is this inconvenient truth: Obama was editor of the Harvard Law Review.  To me, that would seem to mean (1) he attended Harvard, (2) he went to their law school and (3) he was smart enough to be editor of their law review.  It may very well be that Obama had some bad grades at Occidental College which begs the next obvious question: SO WHAT?  Let us assume he did have some “F’s” along the way.  Are we going to demand the release of the tests that justified those grades?  And once this non-controversy is settled, what’s next?  His driver’s license?  I have an idea: this guy smokes, right?  What about his medical records?

Let us give Trump his due and allow him to claim victory here.  At the end of the day, is it really something to be proud of?  Instead of worrying about a birth certificate or a college transcript, perhaps the Donald should (1) formulate some cogent ideas and solutions to the problems facing the country he wishes to be President of and (2) look in the mirror.  While he feeds into the conspiracy nut fringe looking for skeletons in Obama’s closet, Trump has enough skeletons in his closet to fill a graveyard.  From his extramarital affairs to shady real estate dealings to his failing casino empire, chances are there are many skeletons.  While he portrays himself as a lion facing down the President, he really is nothing more than a paper tiger with a pout and bad hairstyle.

Lest there be any mistake, I am no fan of Barack Obama the man or the President.  I find him to be nothing but a blank slate written upon by every liberal interest there is out there from white liberals along Chicago’s north shore to the black revolutionary theology he gravitated towards to the “community organizers.”  There is little to like here.  During the campaign, I found him to be a subtle race-baiting, teleprompted bore.  Needless to say, I felt no tingle up my leg when he spoke.  And those worries were confirmed when he duped the American public into voting for him.  Although he may portray himself as moving towards the center, once a liberal, always a liberal!  His policies smack of wealth redistribution (a/k/a socialism) be it with his class warfare “soak the rich” tax rhetoric, or on a more global scale with endorsing cap-and-trade legislation to solve a non-problem.  Incidentally, the Great Apology International Road Show didn’t go over very well with me either.

But for all that negativity, Donald Trump falls below Barack Obama as a man and as a would-be, God forbid President.  Thus far, Trump’s ideas have been birtherism, a 25% tax on Chinese goods and a phone call to OPEC.  Is Trump even aware our greatest source of imported oil comes from Canada?  He is fond of talking about his billions (on paper) and all the jobs he has created, but is silent on all his casino layoffs or the vendors he stiffed through bankruptcy.  He decries the decline in manufacturing jobs in America, but deals in real estate.  He is a hypocrite of the highest order which is why he is distracting people with talk of birth certificates and college transcripts.  He is a man devoid of viable, logical ideas.  Although he may fancy himself the anti-Obama, he is yet another Obama- a media creation with little practical experience to govern the country.

All this would be amusing except for two very real facts.  For every day we “worry” about a birth certificate or college transcript or even Trump’s tax returns, there are very real problems that need to be addressed.  While political discourse centers around these distractions, we should be debating the fiscal course of this country, national security, tax reform, true health care reform, job creation, declining American power, Middle East instability, nukes in North Korea and Iran, etc.  These are the real issues.

The second danger is that as Rome burns, the population plays the fiddle with Trump leading the orchestra.  And its a moon bat orchestra.  Instead of being asked questions on issues of vital national concern, the people we elected are now asked whether they are “birthers” or “transcripters” or whatever teh controversy du jour happens to be that day.  This plays into the hands of the Democrats and the liberals who rightfully cast these people as nut cases and outside the mainstream.  That may be all well and good, but it becomes a very real problem when those nut cases are associated with Republicans or conservatives.

A true Republican/conservative does not care about birth certificates; they care about wreckless spending in Washington.  A true Republican/conservative does not care about a college transcript; they care about national security concerns and making sure America is safe.  A true Republican/conservative does not care how many cigarettes the President smokes; they care about preserving the sanctity of human life.  A true Republican/conservative does not care about how many friends Obama had at Columbia or Harvard; they care about real and meaningful tax reform and the mounting national debt.  In short, a true Republican/conservative does not care much for Donald Trump; they care about the most principled and electable niminee to defeat Obama in 2012.

The true test of Trump’s Republican credentials will be tested in 2012 should he decide to run.  After he is trounced in the primaries or caucuses, will he throw his support behind the eventual nominee?  Or will he make an independent run and sabotage a possible, very near probable Republican victory?  Although I hope he steps aside, my gut tells me his ego is bigger than his ugly red signs announcing his name on his buildings.  That is why Trump needs to be marginalized now and why this budding candidacy needs to be nipped.  Come on, Karl Rove- do your thing.

Trump Is A Giant

johna650 (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 9:06AM EDT (link)

After 3 years of refusing to release the most basic details of his career prior to assuming the Presidency Hussein blinked and released his purported long form birth certificate. The birth certificate merely confirms he was born to a teen age mother and a Kenyan national and that alone may be grounds for his beig ineligible for the Presidency. Now, Hussein will be fully vetted. The public will demand and will eventually obtain such documents as the passport on which he traveled to Pakistan and his applications to Columbia and Harvard. so much to explain, Mr.President.
It was Donald Trump who demanded and was obeyed. thi sis he man who will bring jobs back to the USA, who will tame OPEC and will get us reimbursed for the 1.5 trillion we have spent in Iraq. He will not eviscerate Medicare. He will not destroy the social safety net built over he past 60 years, and he will not destroy organized labor. Instead, he will solve our financial problems with his powerful Will and bring unbelievable prosperity to all All Americans. He will become our Churchill. Trump is a Giant! You Lilliputians had better stand back.

And he shall speak and bring forth the waters...

Why anyone would be interested in trading one narcissist

for another is beyond me. Trump is bloated with self-worth, and has no idea how to run a country. His ideas would increase unemployment, not decrease it.

I'm interested in Trump for one reason...he's shown you can go at Obama head on and force him to react.

AceInTX (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 1:16PM EDT (link)

I keep hearing all the pap from our Genious strategists that we can’t go at Obama…that we have to stick to issues…that we can’t personalize Obama’s presidency and point out his incompetencies without turning off independents and moderates…

Obama has just shown his thin skin and that he can be forced to react to ANYONE who will take him on directly…I hope the geniuses running the Republican Party get the same message out of this

Would I vote for Trump as our nominee?…only if the alternatives to him were Romney or Paul so please spare me any insults about me being a Trump Bot…I’m just pointing out something we can take from the man and USE

He is the new MSM rage

Goldwater_Conservative (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 1:27PM EDT (link)

its all they can obsess and talk about, so much so that their former rage Palin is left in the back screaming “remember me, I can talk birth certificates”. The media absolutely loves this and they are egging it on. Foolish people will say, like they did about the MSM’s fasicnation with Palin, that they are scared of Trump and thats why they cant stop talking about him. The truth is, he is great for their ratings and bad ultimately for the GOP meaning he is now their new guy. If you read into this any more than that, you fell for the scam. And the idea that Trump can “stand up to Obama” is wrong. Remember that he said he would release his tax returns (something that just about every president does) if Obama would release his BC, well guess what he isnt going to release his after all. He is a blowhard looking for money and ratings, nothing more, nothing less.

funny you find a way to make a discussion of Trump an oportunity to attack Palin...while avoiding anything I said in my comment

AceInTX (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 2:10PM EDT (link)

but I’ve come to expect as much from you. I didn’t say Trump deserves any support and said I’d vote against him in every instance unless it was as an alternative to Romney or Paul…so don’t make like I said anything supportive of a Trump for POTUS

Well..maybe you did tickle around the edges about what I said….I’m not defending the Birther aspect of Trumps tactics….I simply pointed out his ability to put Barry on the defensive and force him to respond by going right at him…

This is something the geniuses in our leadership have failed to do in almost three years or an Obama Administration.

I hope they learn the lesson from this that sticking to issues and not going after Obama directly is a losing strategy and that only by going on offense do we have a chance of scoring.

5, I'm tired of our leadership playing pattycake with Obama

Common_Cents (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 2:31PM EDT (link)

Our leadership can hardly give a serious effort at the issues let alone Alinskying Obama.

Guess what? There are many loosely affiliated groups on our side that will pull the lever for R’s and conservatives but be in disagreement. Instead of sharing that common ground we are engaged in a circular firing squad over voter purity.

Look at the opportunity cost and waste of time Birther Derangement Syndromers are engaged in. Instead of calling names, why don’t they just let the birther group do its thing and attack Obama on policy and mainstream conservative issues?

We need proxy groups attacking Obama and the left on all issues in many different ways. Some can be mainstream some can be fringe.

The left/MSM has been successful at Alinskying many into being Birther Derangement Syndromers through ridicule, getting them to attack their own side for even mentioning the word. BDS’ers are now carrying the water for the left instead of focusing on the issues.

That's part of the equation but not what I'm driving at...Throw out the birther issue and use what Trump has done as a model for dealing with Policy

AceInTX (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 2:56PM EDT (link)

THAT’S what I’m driving at…Stop listening to9 the beltway pundits who say Obama is unbeatble….or that attacking him is self defeating because you’ll turn of independents….GO AT HIM.

Trump is the first person who has dared challenge him and Obama got defensive and caved….all it took was a little push….we can do the same on Policy…make him ANSWER for what he has wrought on this country…he’s been in office almost three years…he OWNS 8-10% unemployment as far as the eye can see. He OWNS $4 a gallon Gasoline, he OWNS 1.6 Trillion Dollar Deficits, he OWNS $3.6 Tillion Dollar annual budgets, he OWNS rising inflation, he Owns Gold at $1400 an once, he OWNS the rising inflation., he owns the failing efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq because he won’t support our troops, he OWNS Obamacare with it’s 60% disapproval rating…

The Trump/Palin model would dictate going at him full boar on every one of these issues guns blazing…

and what do we here from Republicans in leadership?

{Que Crickets Chirping}

And we are losing the war because with each passing day the debt grows, our defense gets weaker, inflation increases it’s effect on this economy, Obamacare is implemented and metastasizes, Oil prices increase, food prices increase, our economy limps along while we cheer 50,000 hamburger flipping jobs at McDonald’s and our guys piss an moan about how formidable Obama is

Am I the only person in this country...or on this site who sees?

We need someone who will fight Obama and his minions not make excuses for compromising with him…we need to go AT HIM!!!!

I had someone who made fun of me a while back for acting like Patton…as if there is shame in that…Patton destroyed dozens of German armies in Africa. Sicily and western Europe…He went through Hitlers Panzer devisions like crap through a goose…

The only thing his backbiting nay sayers in the press and the American high command accomplished was holding him back, slowing him down, and giving the enemy time to regroup and exact more enormous cost in men, materials, and ground having to be recaptured after it had been lost.

I said that your admiration for Tump’s willingness to take it to obama is misplaced. I dont mind a GOP candidate going after Obama, but I have yet to see anyone do it effectively. Tump is doing it effectivley but thats because his goal is name recognition and ratings, so lets be carefull about the praise for this con man.

I agree with ya

Common_Cents (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 3:05PM EDT (link)

I don’t we even have to come up with specific solutions at this point either. That just gives the left ammo to say “R’s are going to take your candy away”.

A repeated, “are you better off than X time ago” is a great strategy. Drive the wedge between voters and Obama first. Get them to divorce their decision if in the case of some reachable that voted for him.

There’s blood in the water, time to start circling and attacking.

The media is just trying to make a last ditch Alinsky attempt at discrediting and slowing down the birther thing. They will see it backfire as they keep the issue alive and it will be a stepping stone into investigating more of Obama’s past (ayers etc..) and it will lead into more documented policy/intentions that everyone can join in on.

Obama started the nonsense, the MSM failed to vet him, and American’s will finish it.

EXACTLY!!!

The educated idiot strategy of attacking Obama on Policy is 180 degrees in the WRONG direction….this lets Barry continue to put forth any solutions while simultaneously giving him a target to shoot at and a line of attack against Republicans….

Obama can run against the Ryan Plan…all we can do as ask where his is….he can take the Ryan Budget to pieces and attack specific after specific while all we can do is ask where his is while he insists he has one…

That’s what he’s doing right now and the geniuses just can’t seem to see what’s happening to them and can’t figure out why they are getting their own asses handed back to them wrapped up in pretty pink bows

Trump just made it useful for Obama to release

rasvar (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 3:21PM EDT (link)

Obama could have released them at anytime. However, what he does is wait until he can bump up the “credibility” of a supposed GOP presidential candidate who would have no chance in he** of ever being elected. Why wouldn’t he want to bump up Trump? Trump claiming victory is fantastic for Obama. It probably seals at least 10-15% of the primary vote for Trump if he wins because he “went up against Obama and won.”

Trump did nothing but get played the fool.

That's one way of looking at it....with some validity

AceInTX (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 3:52PM EDT (link)

but the other side of the same coin is…Trump moved numbers by going at him…there was a poll out that showed 38% of the electorate doubting Obama’s birthplace…THAT’s why Obama acted now….Yeah it was a stupid issue…yeah there were a lot of cooks and crazies pushing the issue…but Obama’s move showed how something with no legitimacy, (let alone WITH legitimacy) can move opinion if someone will just push it instead of looking for a way to compromise on it.

In the end, Obama looks defensive in having to prove what most of us believed was the case, He showed his petulance by being the one who showed up at the press conference to PERSONALLY address the issue…and he showed how thin skinned he can be when he’s forced to show is hand…(which is exactly what we should be seeking to do at every turn…on every issue)

Again…this is no endorsement for Trump….I put him just in front of Romney, Paul, and McCain (In that order….though Lucifer might fit in there somewhere) on my list of picks for Republican Nominee.

But I’m telling you…if we get a nominee who goes out early and often and makes fun of everything that has happened over the last 3 years…and draws attention to the disaster Obama has wrought on this country…Obama is toast.

Continue what we’re doing…looking for compromise….making excuses for why we can’t stop him…or roll back any of his failed policies, and flapping our gums about how formidable a candidate he is…nominate an amiable dunce as represented by 80% of the people being discussed as Republican nominees…and we’re in for another 4 years like the last…and Obamacare will be tied around our necks and never be removed

MarkTwain 3

Ehh, no. What a lot on our side are missing about this Trump

avgjo (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 4:03PM EDT (link)

thing is that Trump forced Obama’s hand. Obama would probably have held on to this BC issue until next year, to disrupt whatever GOP strategy might be in place for knocking him out of office. There is a bigger issue though.

Everyone talks about Obama’s arrogance. He thinks he is smarter than the rest of America, he thinks he doesn’t have to answer to anyone, he is so smug on tv, etc. And I agree with all of it. Just think of that recently broadcast interview of BO by that Dallas journalist and BO reacted because he was called out on his nonsense. He is an arrogant swine.

This arrogance has been manifested in many ways, many of which seem to have in the background that the rules don’t apply to him; he’s Barack Obama and he can fly! Now, all of the other candidates for the last umpteen years have released their docs; even John McCain did it. But not BO. The more I think about it, the more it seems to me that he may well have nothing grade wise to hide on his transcript, just as he apparently had nothing to hide on his birth certificate. Rather, it seems that the whole exercise is a message to the America which he hates so much: I don’t have to answer to you. I am smarter, and you are rabble who are subject to my will, for I am Barack Hussein Obama, and I reside at the White House!

All this said, whatever you think about Trump (and I don’t trust him, as I have said before), he has done two things right in this whole thing: he has, as Ace points out above, brought the attack to Obama the man and he has forced a little capitulation out of the arrogant son-of-a-gun. Obama (and much of our political class) needs to realize that this is America, and they are entitled to no more respect or courtesy than any other Americans. They can be called out on their nonsense and personality flaws just like anyone else, and they have to follow rules/convention and show respect, just like everybody else.

Ceterum autem censeo, Obamaecuram esse delendam.

It’s the morality, stupid.

You hit the nail on the head vsv his rrogance. The only way you beat someone who thinks they are better than you is to make them a laughing stock

AceInTX (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 4:16PM EDT (link)

I guarantee you…if you go at him…over and over….RELENTLESSLY …If you poke holes in his arguments…and LAUGH at his arrogance make him a laughing stock….he’ll fold in spectacular and brilliant fashion.

No one has toughed this guy…no one has made him answer anything…he won’t know how to act.

Yet our guys won’t do that because they’ll be called Racists as if we can’t look back and look at our opposition to Clinton, and Kerry, and Gore as proof that this is about ideas not race….

In a way…I hope Tavis Smiley and Jesse Jackson keep harping about how this is about to be the most racist election in history….OUR guys have got to realize that this will be the charge whether we go against Obama hard…or we keep treating him with kid gloves as we have for the last several years…If the NPR crowd keeps this us…they are going to prove to the white guilt crowd on our side that they have nothing to lose in the fight because they are about to be painted as knuckle dragging racists anyway

Hold on...If Bush's transcripts were fair game...why not Obama's?

AceInTX (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 5:44PM EDT (link)

I’m sick of people on our side beating up on people for applying the same standards on Obama that the Dems and the so called “Objective Press” applied to Obama.

I’m not a Birther and never have been…but if it was fair game to hold hearings into McCain’s citizenship since he was born in the panama canal zone and force him to turn over a birth certificate…why isn’t it on the level to seek the same for the Obama….

If it’s legitimate to demand bush turn over his transcripts and make fun of his grades…why then can we not demand the same of Obama without being branded kooks and crazies and banned for even mentioning the subjects…

Then we get to Trump and all the crap thrown at him….was he tilting at windmills? Absolutely….if he goes after Obama’s transcripts will he be….it’s very likely….but we can thank him for one thing….he showed us if we get into a staring contest with Barry…HE WILL BLINK!!!

This may get me in trouble…but I’ve always been someone who has been for more speech not less….if there are crazy ideas out there….we can deal with them and dispose of them as the crazy ideas they are…and if a person is being disruptive by the way they are pushing their crazy ideas they should be shown the door…but just dismissing people out of hand as nuts without considering the evidence they bring to the table…or the legitimate ideas they have has always grated on me.

I’m glad we can put this birther crap to bed for once and for all…but would it really have been so bad if Obama had shown this stupid thing before now so we wouldn’t have had to deal with this crap….instead he waited till Trump forced the issue and we have polls showing over as third of this country INCLUDING DEMOCRATS doubting his legitimacy before producing it…

who did that serve? really?

grades other than for retalition. What’s next after grades…….Bill Ayers? Not much there either just a candidate who refused to go into detail.

The reason the MSM set the rules is because all non liberals are afraid to take on the media. What we need is a Tea Party like group to go after the media and call them out for malfeasance and racketeering while discriminating against anyone who disagrees with the liberal orthodoxy.

http://mrc.org is a good start but what we need are brave conservative media types and protesters outside of media stations taking them on plus people buying share(s) of stock and showing up at annual shareholder meetings. We have to push them around and take the fight to their doorstep.

Free speech gives anyone the right to ask and

Juggernaut (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 6:51PM EDT (link)

free speech also gives privacy rights to Bush and Obama. Trump can ask but there are bigger issues than grades. Will Trump show his grades first? What about Trumps college papers. It all ends in a circle jerk where no one wins.

I read that Obama graduated Harvard with honors and that it was advertised at the time in local papers including Obama’s home town. Schools always publish honor grads in the home state as well in major publications in Massachusetts. With that said if Obama had lower grades at Columbia or Occidental then it was because he didn’t apply himself or perhaps drug use and other distractions.

I remember the Bush bashing media quite well, Fox news and other conservative media are more respectful than the scumbag left media. You right Trump had the balls but will it help him win elections, I still see bigger issues being more important. Trump just put the cross hairs on him but I’m glad Trump called out the media for being “protective of Obama”.

RomneyCare is Right Wing Socialism –

Romney “severely conservative”? That’s the opposite of a “compassionate conservative” like George W. Bush? Actually, we know what a severely conservative is. It’s Dick Cheney and Mitt Romney is no Dick Cheney.

I don't disagree....chasing after Birth Certs and College Transcripts can be silly

AceInTX (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 7:55PM EDT (link)

My issue isn’t so much with that however as those who want to dismiss and destroy people who even ask the questions…and there is a huge part of me that says…what’s good for the goose is good for the gander….

If McCain and Bush were held to a certain standard…why shouldn’t we expect Obama to be held up to the same…it seems to me that Justice demands it.

What I would also like to see are his theses and writings as a college prof. I think it would go a long way toward exposing what motivates him and what his tjhought processes are…

I would also like to see more about his upbringing in Islamic Madrasas which would also go a long way toward showing what his thought processes are.

Oh, and have you noticed that the people who are flogging the pony on the bc and transcripts are stupid beyond belief? And ignorant? And those are their good qualities.

I just have a problem shutting down people without first hearing what they have to say...

I don’t see anything wrong with letting some seek answers to these questions as long as they aren’t distracting or hurting us….What’s good for the goose is good for the gander…and seeing the object of the Left’s affections….”The One”…. hoisted on his own Petard after all their shenanigans over the eight years prior to his emaculation is hugely entertaining

And I again point to the lessons Trump has taught here that Obama can be put on the defensive with a good offense…I’m not a birther…and I’ve said elsewhere that the only way I’d vote for Trump would be if the only alternatives were Romney, Paul and/or McCain

But I do think we need to look at what’s happened here and learn from it…Obama has such a thin skin and a defensive shoot from the lip demeanor when challenged that we should be challenging him early and often.

on subjects where the issue is settled and there is absolutely no possibility that a favorable conclusion for us can be reached.

The short form bc is an acceptable legal document, certified by the State of Hawaii. Nothing else was ever needed. This has been a public exercise in mental masturbation from day one.

A lot people would like to see his writings, instead we see him in real time and watch the media carry the water for Obama. I’d like to see what he wrote but its on lock down so we need a Wikileaker but I fear most are leftturd treasonists.

RomneyCare is Right Wing Socialism –

Romney “severely conservative”? That’s the opposite of a “compassionate conservative” like George W. Bush? Actually, we know what a severely conservative is. It’s Dick Cheney and Mitt Romney is no Dick Cheney.

And just how would getting his college transcripts

and copies of his papers get ObamaCare unfunded? Or cut the budget? Or do any of the other things that our lives actually depend on?

The subject is nothing more than mental masturbation.

Crap like this – and like Clinton’s impeachment – is NEVER productive for us.

before. I go at it logically and those who disagree are welcome to do so.

I agree all politicians should be held to the same standard, problem is the people refuse to hold the media to one standard. So republicans/conservatives get beat up when we control the whitehouse and we get beat up more when we try to hold Dems to their own standards. The media set the tone and they discriminate so we discuss and then move on while liberals fixate and never let it go.

I wouldn’t mind seeing college papers and grades but privacy rights protect candidates. I didn’t mention that beforehand.

Obama graduated summa cum laude from Harvard

aesthete (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 8:58PM EDT (link)

The percentage of the Harvard graduating body that gets such an award is >5%. I’d be willing to bet money that his grades are higher than Palin’s — and I could also care less. (I’m also willing to bet money that Slick Willie’s grades and intelligence beat both of theirs.) Grades in non-technical degrees have absolutely no bearing on ability, competence and intelligence, as President Obama’s administration has shown. (Heck, grades in technical degrees only measure, and quite narrowly, a person’s aptitude and hard work *in their field*, not in the field of governance.) Rarely is the smartest person in the room the one who can best lead — leading is a learned trait, even for the most natural of leaders, and generally speaking the academic world does not present many opportunities for leadership. This obsession with grades is one of the most idiotic quests I’ve seen the broad right engage in recently, especially given that many of our arguments on economics and other topics come to the conclusion that rule by the best and the brightest is not optimal.

Before Trump, everyone has been afraid to go after o

renny (Diary) Thursday, April 28th at 6:14PM EDT (link)

for fear of being called a racist.

The left is already setting up that scenario with Whoopie Goldbrick announcing she was playing her race card now–what race card does she think she has?–and another black “columnist” has proclaimed 2012 the most racist election ever, without even having a formal candidate on one side of the board.

Trump has maybe forestalled that canard because he is just not going to abide by the terms defined by the Dems. Whatever he forced little o to reveal, he provoked a chord somewhere, and supposedly, the o thought the deal was so big that when he went to make his big birth cert. declaration, almost no one was in the WH press room, so the pres. hung around until he could get better coverage.

After all, Trump to a great degree is a creature of the MSM, so it cannot just ignore him any more than it can stop backing the o, as he is ENTIRELY a creation of back room editorial boards and Journolists and other media promotions. No Romney or Daniels (maybe Palin) will ever command that kind of immediate shark-feeding frenzy that a nod of Trump’s weird hair will bring on with glee.

And unlike o who looks like he just bit into a bad lemon every time he’s not posing for a photo op, Trump seems to really enjoy himself and says he enjoys and loves America. Americans like the looks of someone who is not bitter and harrowing all the time.

Trump is unlikely ever to say if you can’t pay your gas bill, you should change your entire life, but now what he needs to say is something of policy value, although issues and wonkiness are much more valued by Redstate than the general pop.

A friend of mine, whom I told was nuts, voted for o because “he promised never to raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000.” She’s no dummy, has run her own business, been in real estate, and now is the primary care giver to a grandmother and great grandmother whose lives she has made comfortable and secure. When I say, he didn’t raise your taxes (yet), but you’re paying twice as much for gas, she admits voting for o was a mistake. But, STILL, she would not have voted for McCain. He was too blah. What a strerling and sophisticated political assessment.

People vote how they FEEL. Reagan made them feel good. Who in the Rep. field offers that abilitiy? So, far, only Trump.

….would be curious to see Obama’s college transcripts. I have a feeling it would show he was a fairly mediocre student. Does it matter? Not really. However, it would blow a sizeable hole in the “Obama is a genius” meme that liberals have been force feeding us for four or so years now.

On a separate but related note, I don’t understand liberals and their stance on Affirmative Action. The left was getting their collective nose all out of joint because they think that Trump was implying Obama got into his elite schools as an Affirmative Action baby. I’m not sure he was saying that, but what if he was?

Liberals will go to the mattresses defending Affirmative Action as necessary for leveling the proverbial playing field. Any politician that has ever spoken of rolling back Affirmative Action has instantly been branded a racist. However, if you suggest that someone benefited from Affirmative Action, you’re also a racist because you’re suggesting that said person couldn’t have achieved what they did without it. Way to play both sides on that one.
