My wish is that the act will be totally struck down and not replaced in any way. Justice Kagan did not recuse her self from the decision ,it could be she wants to show she has her own mind and is not Obama's puppet.

I believe the last day the Court meets publicly is the last Monday in June. Usually, decisions are announced as they are heard. For example, the cases heard in October have all been decided and announced. I suspect their decisions in these cases may very well come down on the last day because (1) the case was heard relatively late in the term and (2) the importance and potential controversy demands that the decision be written clearly.
As an example, the Florence strip search case was heard in October 2011, but the decision was not announced until March 2012- almost 6 months later- as the Justices strived to balance the results of that decision. In the health care cases, I have no doubt that their will be several opinions from the Justices in concurrence and dissent, agreeing in part and disagreeing in others. The law and the constitutional interpretation is just too complicated in some areas. Also, the Arizona immigration law case was heard on the last day of oral arguments and the decision may come out the week before they announce the health care cases. I would be real surprised if they are announced on the same day.

is it will be overturned regardless of politics, or maybe in response to the Dems behavior. When you look at how O scolded the Justices at the State of the Union address, then O's comments challenging the Court's authority to rule on it and now Leahy's offensive comments directed at Chief Justice Roberts, they should strike it down for interference penalties! But they won't be so petty & will judge it on it's Constitutional merits which are lacking as we heard.

Yes the politics of it are huge and agree the fall out is in O's column. I do worry that Boehner said they have a rapid response to keep some so-called popular items if it's struck down in total...now that's stupid in an election year. Let O deal with the mop up & Reps can deal with it another day...just not this year.

I hope it's struck down completely and not left in limbo by keeping all by mandate. The weird saving grace may be that Kagan did not recuse herself, altho' I thought she should have, since the Eleventh Circuit
