davenj1, when you first open a diary, you should see a box at the top, before any comments that says, “leave a message”. Type away here and then in the bottom right hand corner, there is a smaller gray retangular box that says, “Post as checkmate2012″ for me. Click on that and your comment posts. But don’t expect to see it in the running comments box on the right as there is a long delay. If you want to respond to a poster’s comments anywhere in a diary, click on “Reply” and again, the same rectangular box opens. Hope that helps

I’m still looking for the How-To Guide that was talked about after the conversion…

Pardon me for semi-threadjacking, but as this relates to a technical issue, I’ll continue. Is there any way to disable auto-updating of the comments? I find it very frustrating trying to follow a diary with lots of comments when “new comments” keeps popping up above or below where I happen to be in the discussion. I prefer to follow the discussion from oldest comments first, since that’s chronological, and then if I wish, just refreshing the page to pick up any additions since I first read the thread. Surely I’m not alone in this.
