Remember Those Red District ObamaCare Socialists in 2012

Thankfully, the Republican controlled House just passed the repeal of Obamacare by a 245-189 margin.  Three Democrats; Mike Ross (AR), Dan Boren (OK), and Mike McIntyre (NC), joined every Republican in support of repeal.  This means that 10 of the remaining 13 Democrats who voted against Obama Care to win reelection last year, showed their true colors by opposing repeal.

Here are the ten Democrat turncoats:

Ben Chandler ( Ky.), John Barrow ( Ga.) Heath Schuler ( N.C.), Larry Kissell ( N.C.), Stephen Lynch ( Mass.), Jason Altmire ( Pa.), Tim Holden ( Pa.), Collin Peterson ( Minn), Dan Lipinski ( Ill.) and Jim Matheson ( Utah).

If we include the other Democrats who represent R rated districts (Cook PVI) but supported ObamaCare from the beginning, that number increases by another 6, for a total of 16:

Jerry McNerney (CA) Joe Donnelly (IN) Tim Walz (Minn) Bill Owens (NY) Mark Critz (PA) Nick Rahall (WV)

These 16 Democrats must be targeted for their disingenuous conservative talk at home, as they vote with the radical left in DC.  It looks like their symbolic vote against Nancy Pelosi was nothing more than window dressing.  Let’s end the blue dog and pony show and defeat these clowns in 2012.

the perfect campaign ad for the Republicans that will be challenging them in their districts next election cycle. And I’m pretty sure this won’t be the only opportunity to catch them in a lie. After all, they’ve only been in session a few days.

So let’s put them out of their misery.

Peterson represents the northwestern and west central portions of the state. His district will get bigger and more red because the only way he can be redistricted adds more red to his district. He has lived the blue dog lie effectively for much too long. The vestiges of the old Farmer-Labor & Democrat alliance has sustained him with the conservative farmers in his district, but they are dieing out and his new district will include areas closing in on the western exurbs of the Twin Cities. He has been there 10 terms and a viable, well funded conservative Republican can beat him in 2012.

If Peterson’s district is shifted toward a more D PVI, then I think he’ll likely be safe.

But if, OTOH, for whatever reason Peterson picks up even more GOP areas in MN redistricting, then a vote like this could very well imperil him in 2012, yes.

Peterson’s 7th district can only be expanded by moving into the NE 8th district or central/eastern 6th. Every dem north of the Snake River now has eyes on taking backing the 8th district. Adding the western, slightly dem areas to the 7th will mean that even more of the Twin Cities repub areas will have to be added to the 8th, thereby dashing any dem hopes in the 8th. The other alternative is to add the Stearns Co and Wright Co. areas of the 6th to the 7th. St, Cloud is nominally blue but the rest of Stearns and Wright are the most republican areas of the state. Peterson’s district is going to get even more red or the dems are going to give up any hope of recapturing the 8th. And as we all know – redistricting means a lot not only in Minnesota, but in the entire country.

Shuler voted against Obamacare and ran against supporting it in the elections in November. Now he says it would be “immoral” to repeal it.

Kissell voted against Obamacare, but he just copped out as a major coward by saying something along the lines that it is “inevitable” that Obamacare will stand as law in our country.

One good thing could come of this…it could light a fire under the state of NC.

If it does…Mr. Shuler and Mr. Kissell are history in their political roles in this state.

Revenge is a dish best served…..cold. And that would be cold.

…And possibly Barrow as well (it depends how much of a risk they want to take in GA generally), so those two may end up fairing better than expected.

But the other 4 are definitely walking down ‘death row’ right now, yep.
