But they should fight even if they end up losing the vote or get vetoed by the Boy Tyrant…rolling over and exposing your belly makes people think you are weak, feckless and untrustworthy.

No matter how the House votes, the Senate and the President are not going to go along no matter what.

Face it, it will not change until the GOP has control of the House, Senate, and the Presidency, AND there are more conservative members in the House and Senate. Even then it will take a minor miracle.

That makes no sense. Going to the brink mean you plan on caving at the absolute last second. Grounding into a triple play, if you like.

If you want to play brinkmanship, you need to be absolutely willing to go over the brink.. in this case shutdown the government. And I can’t think of a stupider move for the GOP to commit right before the election. It’s essentially electoral suicide. The public hates having the government shut down and if the GOP forces it, it will pay.

The GOP should just put up a clean bill asap and hope that the TeaParty calms down by Nov.

The GOP should starting thinking, the Dems set this trap last Oct and the GOP walked right in to it.

The Demonic Rat Party really are communists and you can’t deal with them unless they know you are very very Serious.
If you talk compromise with The CPUSA/Dems you will never get anything promised since they can not and will not ever honor their deals. Why ? Because it must be their way or the highway i suggest that the leadership grow a pair and show them and the obama the highway.

What is the best way to do that?

If Boehner is going to cave anyway, he could make a big press conference and say…

* we don’t want to repeat what happened last year. List all the reasons in this article. Say we don’t want to shut down government or scare seniors as Obama did last time.

* pass a clean increase and tell the American people, if we want to cut, we’ll need CCB and a Republican Senate, House and Presidency, because the Sentate and WH will block any real reform at this time.

Otherwise, the Dems will do what they did under Clinton and last time and get down to wire, scare everyone with shut down, blame GOP and that’s the last thing we need right before the election.

As said, if we are not actually going to hold the line, why not highlight WHY we can’t and lay it at the Dem’s doorstep instead of faking holding the line only to publically cave right before the election?

first from the Speakership, and then announce his decision to not seek reelection to the House because he has failed conservative principles, the Party, and the nation in his present role.

His has been a disgraceful tenure!

The same is true for Cantor, so he should not be in any line of succession! He too should simply not seek reelection!
