Let me get this straight.

Obama is encouraging federal agencies to mandate PLAs on federal projects via an executive order.

Democrats, Obama and RINOs receive millions in campaign money from unions.

Federal agencies decide if PLAs are appropriate (allegedly, but when is the last time you disobeyed your boss's recommendation).

When mandated, PLAs force contractors to sign a union collective bargaining agreement as a condition of winning a federal construction contract. I can't believe that is even legal. Does this happen in other industries on federal contracts?

These PLAs force otherwise qualified contractors to hire union workers and pay into union slush funds to work on the job.

This is such a blatant gift to labor unions. This is the definition of crony contracting. How could any GOP member oppose an obvious good-government effort to restrict such corruption in federal contracting like this?

What are Grimm's arguments in support of PLA mandates? Does he think government should be able to discriminate against nonunion bidders and push contracts to his political benefactors (unions) in NY?

p.s. It looks like the unions threw a party for turncoat GOP members last time they stabbed taxpayers in the back and killed a similar effort to prevent costly union handouts in federal contracting:

for Kerry in Milford in 2010 when he was running for Michigan State Senate.{Primary}.
There is nothing not to like about this guy.
Army Reservist,{Tour in Iraq} Reindeer rancher, teacher.
As personable as you could ever want or desire in a friend, neighbor or comrade in a struggle. Now, he's the only one running GOP on the printed ballot.

In no way is he part of The Old Guard, hereabouts. This is gonna be an uphill fight ,no doubts. I {being chronically unemployed} can't give him a dime, and can't even afford the Gas to go and help him out.
Being a former Libertarian I am fully aware of The Tales Of Lost Causes, but I still want 'in', on this one.

But, how....?

primaried by Bob Parker....and you can help him with a donation, volunteer efforts, etc. The Missouri primary is August 3rd so dive in quickly.

If you have doubts about a primary challenge to this lady, check out her Heritage score; and there does seem to be some smoke surrounding her husband Ron Gladney being an attorney in St. Louis working for powerful unions. So her votes in this case should not have come as a surprise. She is a moderate, not a strong conservative.

McCotter was a RINO.

Kerry is a real lover of the Constitution. A teacher, war veteran, and beekeeper, not a career politician.

He is the only Republican on the ballot. Kerry has a libertarian bent which is what we need.

http://bentivolioforcongress.com/

I like his vote criteria:

"These are the questions I will ask on every bill:

1) Does the Constitution give us the authority to act on this issue?
-If yes, continue to question two
    -If no...then vote no!

2) Will it benefit ALL of the people?
-If yes, continue to question three
    -If no...then vote no!

3) Can we afford it NOW without having to borrow?
    -If yes...vote yes
    -If no...then vote no!"

the much Lionized Thad McCotter {Mi-11) voted 'yowza' on both.

My suspicion is that with so many Unionists in this district he's just gotta do it, or suffer.

But his recent Balls-Up regarding his candidacy petitions has turned this district on it's head, big-time. Only 1,000 signatures were needed, over 1,500 were turned in and less than 400 were any good.
Repeats, cut and pastes, and blatant copying are only a start. Michigan A G is now investigating , and it is going to go badly for him. His plans are to start a write-in campaign in a district he had locked up and was even modified just for  The G O P voter.{look at the map}

Sometimes Karma turns and surprises await. In My Front Yard........

It is not a truth that being a republican equates to being a free market conservative/libertarian. The use of the "R" after a politician's name doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

Many who run as republicans are not in the least conservative, we euphamistically refer to them as "moderates". Many are aspiring democrats, running in districts where democrats don't win. Many are democrats who couldn't win the democrat primary, so they ran as a republican.

We have a large number of "progressives" within our party structure, particularly at the top. They are not our allies, not ideologically aligned with the rank and file voters, they do not subscribe to the main principles with which the republican brand is most identified: limited government, lower taxation, individual freedom emphasized over government interference.

The leadership of the congressional republicans is riddled with people who do not share our values...including and especially John Boehner.

Is anyone really surprised how we are being stabbed in the back? Did you do your part in the primaries? If not, blame yourself.

I appreciate Horowitz digging out these important nuggets of truth. Palin's endorsement of Grimm says more about her than it does about Grimm.

I agree with the suggestion that the real culprit is Boehner or his designee allowing this to come up under a rule allowing amendments. I thought Hastert was lame, but Boehner is such a lightweight.

Project Labor agreements add to the cost of any project.

They know they need more Congressional support than Dems alone, after all. They're bought and paid for. Traitors.

I Really Appreciate Redstate consistently talking about Congressional votes. Thanks!

As for FB and other silencing tactics, liberals show that they're opposed to fundamental freedoms like free speech. It shows their true colors. As long as we still get the word out, that is...

BTW, Facebook just threatened to suspend my account for putting these facts on the Reps pages to show people what they are voting for! Stinking leftists use these tactics to shut up conservatives constantly by flagging it as offensive or spam and now we can apparently add the GOP tyrants to the list of people trying to deny citizens the right to tell the truth!

Spread the word on this vote people! Millions of people out of work and we have tyrants in Congress forcing Union-approved labor onto our State and federal budgets that also increases the cost of contracts by 22%!
