(Cartoon) – Notre Dame 2, Alumni vs Students

ND2

Thanks to RedStater jessejames for pointing out the real disparity is between the alumni and the students on the issue of having “The One” be the speaker at Notre Dame’s graduation cermenoy.

70% of ALUMNI disagree with the university while 73% of STUDENTS agree with the university.

This cartoon better illustrates the situation.

If you so heartily endorse the mass slaughter of human beings which Obama has promoted through his entire public life, precisely WHAT are you doing at a Catholic university?

I know Pope Benedict XVI was just here, but he might be well advised to make a special trip back just to drive the President of Notre Dame off the campus with knotted cords,

Sorry, but I have to go with the students on this – even though I can’t stand the man’s agenda. Honestly, any university should be proud to host the President of the United States for its commencement ceremonies. No one will ever agree with 100% of the policies, but this is the type of event that should always trancend politics.

of the time it is about AGREEMENT on the Founding Principles of The Catholic Church and THAT IS LIFE! there is no agreeing with someone who would discard a baby after being born when your NUMBER 1 principle is LIFE!

that the graduation is about them. If you have a prominent politician as your commencement speaker, your graduation becomes a platform for talking points and sound bites.

Had I known this in my day, I would have skipped out on my graduation. Instead I heard our invited speaker spew the same anti-Reagan rhetoric I had to put up with for the previous four years — and Clinton was President at the time!

That polling is done by the Observer, our school newspaper. And it wasn’t exactly polling. It was the numbers of letters written in and then they determined what each letter meant, either pro or anti-obama. The general feeling here is that while its an honor to host Obama here, and we have been having new Presidents for a while now, that we should not be silent on the issue of life and the honorary law degree is too much.

For a voice on this, here’s our own “Hannity” and the segment on Obama at Notre Dame.

I keep thinking about that old saying- If your 20 and not a Liberal, you don’t have a heart, if you are 40 and not a Conservative, you don’t have a brain. It appears that the Alumni has gotten out in the world, has been paying taxes, and is fending for themselves in the real world. What I don’t get is the 20 year old heart part if they agree that killing babies is “having a heart.” Mostly what I don’t get is that this is a Catholic University which holds life above all else, yet they seem to be caught up in the ObamaMessiah thing, which is a sacrilege.

They may not be doing any better job at balancing/countering the general Liberal Indoctrination Factories once they have them on Campus.
