It is interesting how, for a cartoonist, some topics generate so much material. But, enough about the current administration, the Nobel Committee has done it again. In 2004, I did a cartoon about who (or what) should have gotten the prize (see first cartoon below).
In 2007 they provided the material for another cartoon. That cartoon was an effort to understand what went on in their minds when selecting a prize winner. It is the second cartoon below.
Their most recent work inspired the third cartoon below. I think I’m starting to figure out what they are looking for in a winning candidate. I would like to thank the committee for providing such fertile ground for comic material
On a side note, I almost titled this diary “The company you keep.” but then I remembered that we are no longer allowed to judge a person by the company they keep (or content of character for that matter) but, hey, it’s something to think about.

History is LITTERED with those who thought that peace could be achieved if they just “talked” to EVIL but EVIL never takes a holiday. The anti-intellectualism of the left (appeasers) in history have DOOMED millions upon millions to death. In my history alone Vietnam is an example as is 9-11.
9-11 is distinctive not only because America was attacked but due to the leftist’s ideals that if we just treat these nuisances as “criminals” as opposed to the EVIL they were and are we would be safe. That morning in September PROVED beyond a shadow of a doubt that EVIL will not be bought, coddled or dismissed. It will MOCK those who utilize phrases such as “peace in our time” and it will SLAUGHTER the innocent as proof of it’s power.
That Obama received a DEFEATIST medal of honor is no surprise to me but what it should be is a WAKE UP that his policies will condemn US to the EVIL that will sidle up to him and his leftists anti intellectual friends make nice and then STRIKE as EVIL never sleeps.
These STUPID leftist’s with their “coexist” stickers, wishing, hoping, praying that surely we can all “just get along” and their attempts at making those of us who see the EVIL and want to defeat it as sub-human when the reality is they are condemning us to horror after horror. President Bush did more to engender peace around the world then Obama will ever do. Peace against EVIL will only exist when the very STRENGTH of America is brought to bear. America has provided the ability in too many countries to count for their citizen’s to live in PEACE when we helped to root out EVIL.
That is all gone know and we live on the edge for the next 3 years of our lives watching an appeaser give into EVIL but perhaps the truth is that EVIL has just been elected to the White House and a kindred spirit has been found for the EVIL around the world.
