In case you hadn’t heard already, Juan Williams (an opinion giver on npr – National Public Radio) was fired, supposedly, for making honest comments about what he feels when he sees Muslims on an airplane.
Many people think it had more to do with the fact that he said it while on the hated Fox News. npr basically claims that it had more to do with the fact that their employees are not allowed to have their own opinions, or at least share them on the air.

Background:
The social networking site facebook has allied with GLAAD to fight anti-gay references on the facebook site. You will get no argument from me when someone tries to prevent juvenile harassment and bullying of gays (I agree with Andrew Wilcow that gay people should exercise their second amendment right more frequently when faced with physical bullying and intimidation).

Avastin is a cancer drug developed by Roche Holding AG. It is also a costly drug. Avastin is used successfully for certain types of cancer (colorectal, lung, kidney, brain, and breast). It’s that last one that is raising eyebrows.
Obamacare created a new Independent Medicare Advisory Board (IMAB) to ‘curtail spending’. Now, on advice from the IMAB, the FDA is considering restricting Avastin. It is amazing to see the range of responses from the left here in America.

Just when the Democrats thought it was safe to go back into the election waters, the thing they feared most has awakened, and it isn’t happy.
Yes, candidate Obama told us he was going to “fundamentally transform” America. He knew what he meant by that phrase, but Americans didn’t. What he didn’t know, however, was that his attempts to transform America would trigger an awakening throughout the nation.
