Protection from Government Intrusion...
this is for you speciallist...
Redstate poster speciallist suggested that someone write a blog about making tinfoil hats for those new folks - Lefties and Paulines - posting here.
Well, ask and you shall receive.
Grant, Patton, MacArthur, Ike...
and Petraeus.
From today's New York Times.
By way of introduction, the article, on page 1 of the World section, is written by Dexter Filkins. Mr. Filkins is no novice to Iraq, he actually lived there for three years after Saddam went away so he knows from whence he speakith. And please, read the whole article. It's a fairly long read, but you'll savor every second of it.
When all else fails, there's always the good old race card!
the final refuge of fools and Marxists.
So far in the general election campaign racism has only come up tangentially. In the primary campaign it was hauled out to successfully silence America's First Black President when the going got tough.
I suppose I've read things I enjoyed more...
I just can't remember when.
Paul Krugman: Economist(?); NYT OpEd contributor; fool.
Krugman never ceases to amaze me, although this may never be
topped.
A Powerful Commercial on Iraq...
See below the fold. This was privately produced, McCain or a 527 should pick this up.
Bear, AIG and just guess who's next...
and guess who is pushing it.
With a tip of the hat to Michelle Malkin, from our friends at the Associated Press...
Voter fraud in Detroit. Guess who...
I, for one, am simply shocked.
From the Detroit Free Press.
Several municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications...
Now then, who in the world could possibly be the source of fraudulent voter registrations in a municipality? Come on, guess...
Clinton strategist comments on media credibility...
...and he agrees with me.
Mark Penn, former Clinton strategist, was interviewed by CBSnews.com and was asked about the credibility of the MSM in the wake of their coverage of Governor Palin.
The world's verdict will be harsh if the US rejects the man it yearns for...
President of THE WORLD!!!!!
With a tip of the hat to Mark Steyn, the smartest guy in Canada, from The Guardian...
The feeling is familiar. I had it four years ago and four years before that: a sinking feeling in the stomach. It's a kind of physical pessimism which says: "It's happening again. The Democrats are about to lose an election they should win - and it could not matter more."
I would NEVER question their patriotism... UPDATE w/ video!
Or their love for their country.
ObamaMessiah...
Yep, that's him...
Rudy and Governor Palin really REALLY struck a nerve with the sensitive Left on Wednesday.
First came the whining. Now comes the bumper stickers.
There simply is no "right" VP pick.
...and for us, pretty much no "wrong" pick either.
First things first. I'm just fine with Sarah Barracuda. I trust she'll make a fine VP and if necessary, a good President.
And I could write the above for any one of the medium list of candidates that McCain had to choose from.
Thank you John McCain - Part 3...
Tag teaming with Moe's video...
I have a really hard time expressing both my surprise and my gratitude to John McCain and his campaign for the great job they're doing taking Obama apart every time he opens his smarmy mouth.
With a hat tip to the guys at Powerline, check below the fold.
NO! to Comprehensive Immigration Reform [UPDATE]...
Build the fence. Prosecute employers. Deport illegals. Then we'll talk.
Hat tip to Michelle Malkin.
Some folks can't seem to understand why others of us won't stand for a bill on immigration reform that address both "immigration status" and border security at the same time. The answer comes from Tucson, AZ.
First there was his Pastor & Mentor. Now, there is...
I'm qualified to be President because of my JUDGEMENT!
Well, with a hat tip to the Powerline guys, see for yourself...
GWB has the political instincts of a rock.
Another blown opportunity.
We can thank God that the Democrats selected the most stupid people they could find for Congressional leadership positions. If Harry & Nancy were even half wits they would be looking at a 49 state sweep for BO and majorities in excess of 65% in both the House and Senate. Why? Because this President is absolutely the worst excuse for a politician ever to see the light of day.
Ad Wars!
HopeChangeHope v the Real World.
By now you've seen the latest John McCain ad slamming BO for refusing to visit wounded troops without his media acolytes, now MoveOn is striking back. As a refresher, here is the McCain ad...
Thank you John McCain - Part 2...
It's been a good weekend, folks.
From today's Arizona Republic courtesy of Associated Press...
Thank you John McCain...
Maybe there's some fight in the old war horse after all.
One of my biggest concerns about McCain is his reliance on comity and his friendship with members of the opposition. I'm concerned that he doesn't understand that the war we're in includes the elected members of the Democratic Party and his desire to run an "issues" campaign will ignore the facts on the ground.
I feel better today...
Schadenfreud!
What the Courts Have Wrought...
The Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts decided that homosexuals should be able to marry. Conservative commentators have had a lot to say about the issue and specifically as it relates to the rights of the various other States to recognize marriage.
That flapping and squawking sound you're hearing is the chickens coming home to roost. Kind of like the swallows coming back to Capistrano. Heh.
Kansas Values...
Time to take the gloves off.
Hat tip to the guys at PowerLine...
So, Senator Obama wants us to think he represents "Kansas Values" rather than Chicago Machine Politics.
