I still think that Barack Obama is the strongest candidate that the Democrats could have fielded and yes, I still bet on him winning the election. But every passing day gives me doubt. And it is gradually getting to the point when--for all of the divisiveness that is attendant to her public persona--I am beginning to wonder whether Democrats are getting a strong case of buyer's remorse and are starting to wish that they nominated Hillary Clinton instead.

You are betting against the house. Obama winning at this point, with this polling situation, would be an exception to the results of the last 8 out of 10 elections.

I was unaware that there was any way of "closing the deal" on a Presidential election prior to November.
