I'm on the floor of the House of Representatives.

The GOP is still there and the crowds are packing the floor. If you've ever wanted to be on the floor of the House, now is your chance.

Today, though, with RedState, we're doing something new. Members of Congress are targeting those Democrats who say they are in favor of expanding drilling to the Outer Continental Shelf, but aren't willing to stand and fight for it.

I'll have video of all this later today.

UPDATE: I've talked to Congressmen Platts, Porter, Pence, McCotter, Burton, and Shuster. I've asked them where the Democrats are. Their response: "Not here. They're on vacation. We're working."

Upset the Puma's are?...mild bad language

      1. Oh those Pumas

        Dave_in_Fla (link)

They are very cute. I love the way they keep hugging each other and talking about what a wonderful day it is, while they delude themselves that someone Hillary will magically get the nomination.

I wonder where that Puma convention is going to be. I would love to be a fly on the wall there.

"If they were merely incompetent, then at least SOME of their actions would have been to the benefit of the country."

  2. Erick, ask Pence, et al what the Gang of 5 does to their efforts

    Dave_in_Fla (link)

Have they been cut off at the knees, or do they raise a middle digit toward the other chamber and keep pounding away on the topic. Nothing makes the house accept a Senate bill.

"If they were merely incompetent, then at least SOME of their actions would have been to the benefit of the country."

  3. Erick, have the R's started

    Shoebox (link)

calling out by name, Democrats who have supposedly found religion on drilling and putting them on notice to sign the discharge petition? Let's see how many are truly converted versus pandering!

  4. Erick, may I borrow your Rep. Platts notes

    Uma_Richie (link)

He's my Congressman but I couldn't sync my schedule to attend while he was in town. I am working on letters to local papers and could use a quote from Rep. Platts' address. Thanks!
