Is Andrea Robinson Lying About Her Age or is the DNC Lying About Her Qualifications?

One of these two does not compute, unless we can count Junior High now.

Here is the Rocky Mountain News's profile of Andrea Robinson, the first Director of Sustainability & Greening for the DNC. In it, they note

On a sweltering Wednesday in June, Robinson, a thirtysomething who's worked on environmental initiatives for the Clintons and Al Gore, already has switched off the power strips in her Denver apartment, walked to work, trotted down the 16th Street Mall to two meetings, declined a plastic foam container for her vegetarian lunch burrito (recyclable foil is preferred) and confessed to one sin: drinking her afternoon tea from a paper cup. Normally, she carries her own drink container.

Here is the DNC profile of Ms. Robinson. In it, the DNC writes

With more than 25 years in the environmental field, Ms. Robinson has a long history of greening large scale events, developing corporate sustainability practices, championing renewable energy, endangered species & habitat protection issues for political campaigns and creating waste diversion and reduction programs.

I'd submit that Ms. Robinson is either lying about her age, which is perfectly okay with me, or the DNC is lying about her 25 years of experience, unless we include junior high stuff in experience now. If so, I've got a resume to update.

  1. Your last two remarks

hit the nail on the head. In fantasy land Jr. high and elementary experience always counts.

    1. Obama's college course a qualification

      Freedoms Truth (link)

Recall that Obama listed an international relations college course as a credential for foreign policy experience for President. And tried to get people to take it seriously... and some Obamaniacs did!

Apparently this woman has been in the environmental 'field' since her indoctrinating middle school earth science teacher taught her about the environment. She claims to have started at 13. Yikes.

        1. Obama touted his college major

          Freedoms Truth (link)

Obama touted his college major as a foreign policy 'experience' point:

In January, Obama Noted His Degree In “International Relations” When Discussing His Foreign Policy Credentials. Obama: “[M]y experience in foreign policy is probably more diverse than most others in the field. … You know, I majored in international relations.” (ABC’s “Good Morning America,” 1/24/07)

  2. Let's not insult Jr. High students!

    MadHatChemist (link)

The average Jr. High Student can come up with a far more rational policy then anyone at the DNC.

  3. Found a picture; definitely lying about the "thirty-something."

    (Unless that "somthing" is "nineteen.")

    Picture here.

    1. D'oh. You'd already posted that link...

      Oh well, she's still old.

Someone please get that woman a slice of bread and some gravy. I was gonna say ribs, but it looks like she has plenty of those already.

Seriously. Her current weight and the Obama halo are the only two things in Denver that are unsustainable.

  4. They ARE counting Jr High

I suppose that's what happens if you subsist on tofu and zucchini.

    2. I've got her beat

      Jack_Savage (link)

When I was eight years old, I sold Creepy Crawlers in my elementary school for a nice profit. Trouble was, most of the kids were buying my Creepy Crawlers instead of lunch. One day an edict from the authorities came down and put me out of business.

So I have been screwed by The Man for over forty years.

      1. heh

        Darin_H (link)

I sold blowpops and candy until The Man shut me down too.

        Made a good profit too.

If the 'experience' calculus works for Barry, why not Andrea?

    Vista really sucks!
  6. Makes sense to me

    Next93 (link)

I've been suspecting for years that the nonsense coming out of the environmental left these days was being written by a twelve year-old girl of the sort who puts hearts on everything and just WUVS fluffy bunnies.

In a party in fighting so hard to end discrimination on the basis of ability, experience, or skill, the contributions of a thirteen year-old environmentalist are completely valid.

  7. Half truths

    IndependentfrMI (link)

In today's world the words lie or lying are not said. Everyone is afraid they might offend someone somewhere, so they call them half truths. In the real world it is still a lie. To lie to make ones self look better is the only way to look good for some. Yet others don't want to talk about themselves out of modesty even though their credentials are outstanding. In midevil times lying became a norm for governing bodies and politicians and that may have led to their downfall. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..well you know the rest.

  8. Half truths

Forgive me about the mistakes in spelling.I was wrong..Medieval is the correction, I don't need an English major to correct me. Please excuse the error.

  9. this explains the DNC diet restrictions

    Dartco (link)

The RMN photo said it all for me--eating disorder. So no wonder we have long lists of RULES and RESTRICTIONS and PROHIBITIONS and CORRECT BEHAVIOR for the DNC. Who thought this wanna be starlet was a good idea?
