Yesterday, the House Judiciary Committee held a kinda sorta almost impeachment hearing for President Bush. The atmosphere was summarized perfectly by one witness:

"I am really astonished at the mood in this room," commented one witness, George Mason University School of Law professor Jeremy Rabkin.

"The tone of these deliberations is slightly demented," Rabkin said. "You should all remind yourselves that the rest of the country is not necessarily in this same bubble in which people think it is reasonable to describe the president as if he were Caligula."

But of course, Mark Twain had matters pretty well covered when it comes to Congress.

This is what the MSM was crowing about Dennis Kucinich for?  The more it happens, the more I think the Democratic majority (and some of those "Republicans" who kowtow to them) are like school bullies picking on the class nerd; they're not interested in governing, they're using the Congress to gang up on the President and hold their kangaroo courts.  Of course the robots are eating it all up.

It gets frustrating, and it shows bad form for those who're supposed to be representing the people in Legislature.  Is it any wonder these guys constantly rank below the President in popularity polls?  Of course the MSM doesn't let you know that...

why are we not going full-bore after incumbent 'Crats?

The same arguments McCain will use against Obama will work against many of the 'Crats, and even if they don't get beat, they might recognize a real threat and moderate their partisanship to our benefit.

I completely reject the idea that this has to be the Democrats' year.

I'd pick Republican Congressional majorities with an Obama presidency over a McCain presidency with Democrat majorities in Congress.

Too bad we don't have those choices.

Impeachment is the only thing my "representitive" has ever done in Congress. Get a good look at this twit, because I predict that by Christmas, he will be sleeping on Shirley Mcclaine's couch, never to slime Clevelanders again
