Revolutions Do Indeed Start In Massachusetts
On December 16, 1773, after officials in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, a group of colonists boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor. This set in motion events that lead to the American Revolution in 1775.
236 years, 1 Month and 3 Days later, new events have been set into motion and a new revolution has begun. A new movement has also been started inspired by one nights protest. While this new movement is still young and finding it’s footing, has sent it’s FIRST Senator to the United States Senate.
Scott Brown may be the first, but Marco Rubio (FL), Pat Toomey (PA), Chuck DeVore (CA), and Michael Williams (TX) are also Tea Party Senators on their way to the US Senate. But how ironic is it that is starts in Massachusetts?
Samuel Adams might not think so. Let the New Tea Party Revolution begin.
