The Sierra Club has come out with the following attack ad alleging that John McCain is somehow responsible for the run-up in gas prices. (And before you ask, yes — the ad does look like it was made by the team at JibJab):
The Sierra Club is also teaming up with the bright minds at MoveOn.org on a similar ad. Sierra Club and MoveOn attack McCain for supposedly supporting tax breaks for energy companies, but they don’t mention that Barack Obama supported the 2005 energy bill, which provided $6 billion in tax breaks for oil and gas.
But what the Sierra Club doesn’t mention is that they support higher gas prices. Shouldn’t they let you know that when they pretend to be looking out for you?
