New Rasmussen Reports polling finds 49% of U.S. voters say President Obama should delay his so-called health care reform until the economy improves.
Another 42% disagree and say Obama should go ahead, and 10% are not sure what Obama should do.
There is the usual partisan divide:
Two-thirds of Democrats (66%) say it is possible to insure everyone, a view shared by 33% of unaffiliated voters and 19% of Republicans.
Sixty-nine percent (69%) of GOP voters and 60% of unaffiliateds do not believe it is possible to provide health insurance for everyone, but just 23% of Democrats agree.
According to Rasmussen, there has been a significant decline in the number who believe it is possible to provide insurance for everyone.
At a cost of another $2 trillion or more, and with a $693 billion partial down payment, Obama-care is much too much big government spending. Obama’s trillions of dollars in additional spending in his tax and borrow budget is not only more money than we can comprehend, it is much more than even Obama can honestly believe the nation is able to afford.
