According to the Columbus Dispatch, the race to replace resigned Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann is now set.
The GOP nominee is former Federal Prosecutor (during Reagan and Bush Sr) D Micheal Crites, who will face current state Treasurer Richard Courdray. Courdray would have the edge in name recognition (as he won his post in 2006) and has already begun raising funds. Crites is a political novice who will face an uphill battle in a state where the GOP name is still in disrepute. If McCain has a strong showing, this may help the GOP take back one of the top state offices.
The official announcement is set for tomorrow.
