Maybe I'm missing something, but I believe that's the basic defense of 'ObamaCare' coming from Linda Douglass - former ABC News correspondent and current Communications Director of the White House Office of Health Care Reform.
That's right -- the White House Office of Health Care Reform.
By now, most of us have seen this video, which was linked recently on the Drudge Report. It shows Barack Obama stating over and over again that he favors a shift to a single-payer health care system in America. Translated, this means, of course...wait for it...government-run health care.
But apparently, the only way to quote Obama in context is to just leave out the parts where he contradicts himself and his own proposals:
So don't worry about what the bill really says and means. Don't worry about what Barack Obama, Barney Frank and Jan Schakowsky have said. Just look at those granny glasses. Would they mislead you?
Now who wants a lollipop?
