Lace up the shoes. Game on.
A new ad from John McCain intones that Dem candidate Barack Obama is a hypocritical liar.
Barack Obama. He promised better. He lied.
Writes ABC News' Jake Tapper:
The criticisms of the Obama ads are all on target.
Tapper, God love him, has backed his statement with links. (To be fair, he did not on his blog agree that Obama is a hypocritical liar or a lying hypocrite.)
If the shoe fits, Barry, lace it up.The question is, how effective will such statements be with the estimated 15% of voters who have yet to make up their minds? That remains to be seen, but Barack Obama has been able to skate so far on a media-generated mystique. Almost his entire persona, which is essentially a blank in reality, has been media-spawned. That has to be cracked, the rock kicked over, for some dose of reality to descend on the minds of voters. These ads are an attempt to smash the façade, show voters that they should be at least frightened, perhaps mortified, by Barack Obama, perhaps the ultimate null.
