LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada state authorities are raiding the Las Vegas headquarters of an organization that works to get low-income people to vote.
A Nevada secretary of state's office spokesman said Tuesday that investigators are looking for evidence of voter fraud at the office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.
No one was at the ACORN office when state agents arrived with a search warrant and began carting records and documents away.
ACORN is, of course, an activist group heavily associated with both the Democratic Party and Barack Obama; their most recent noteworthy - and non-voter fraud related - mention in the news involved the attempt by the Democrats to slip some of your bailout money into their pockets. And, yeah: as the Kurtz article above notes, they're up to their eyeballs in the subprime mortgage mess.
'Course, you probably guessed that from the "heavily associated with both the Democratic Party and Barack Obama" bit. These days, it's probably easier to work out which parts of the Left aren't responsible for our economic mess...
