Viagra Nation

If you were unfortunate enough to live through the 1960s, you experienced firsthand the ‘hippies’. And for those too young, it was an unbearable era with the ultimate narcissists of all time – gullible, pleasure-seeking, greedy, stupid, materialistic and shallow people – controlling much of the public discourse.

It was an awful time for anyone with half a brain and half a heart. Take my word for it. It is not worth investigating or reliving in any way, shape or form.

And while these ‘hippies’ claimed to have been anti-materialist – and most people are at age 20 anyway – they have turned out to be the most materialistic people who ever lived. They now are in their 50s and 60s and have more wealth and more ‘stuff’ than any generation ever before. But don’t tell them that. After all they now usually vote Democrat so their big bank accounts and fancy cars are somehow sacrosanct. To their way of thinking it certainly must be “somebody else” who is rich.

Yes, if you lived in the 1960s, you had to listen to their tiresome narcissism over and over, particularly the ‘hippie’ males who considered their banal sexual conquests to be the most significant event in all of human history, as if it had never happened before. Sex, sex, sex… from Woodstock to Haight-Ashbury.

No wonder the feminist movement took off in the 1970s. It was a reaction to millions of young females being sexually exploited by the ‘hippie’ boys of the 1960s including really creepy guys like Bill Clinton.

Then when we conservatives offered our usual common-sense solution of personal restraint, we were dismissed as old-fashioned.

Yet how right we were… as always.

But the ‘sexual revolution’ has been around for a long time and has destroyed societies before. Consider Rome. And just when we thought we had heard the last of these ‘hippies’, along came Viagra. And now that we don’t have to listen to the ‘hippie’ boys droning on incessantly about sex, we have to watch these endless TV commercials droning about the very same guys’ erectile dysfunction.

Ad after ad after ad. These guys couldn’t talk long and loud enough about their sexual conquests and now the drug companies – with thousands of former ‘hippies’ as investors and many as executives for sure – cannot stop hawking their stupid penis pills. Every five damned minutes it seems. And it is just more of the left’s 1960s narcissism being shoved on us.

To which we conservatives say to all leftists – ‘hippies’, blacks, homosexuals, New Yorkers, media, university professors, Al Gore, feminists, environmentalists etc. – Shut your big mouths for two seconds! We have heard everything you want us to hear. You are not interesting to us and never have been. You are only talking to yourselves.

For those of us who were not sexual braggarts in the 1960s and don’t have problems “down there” today, we just would like some peace and quiet for once in our lives. But when you are dealing with narcissists, you never get it.  Because these people are fixated on themselves and never, ever stop talking about themselves.

Now look around at Viagra Nation today. It is in a cultural abyss. After decades of accruing power and wealth for themselves, the ‘hippie’ left, through its media friends has created a wild-dog, amoral culture that has fueled the breakdown of our Christian morality and subsequently is taking the fruits of our labors to fund an increasingly dependent, ignorant and broken populace.

Indeed the ‘sexual revolution’ of the 1960s has produced banality, boredom and social collapse. Because in the end, sex is not interesting or enlightening. In fact people in poor countries can have all the sex they want. But what they really want is to come to America.

How many children grew up not knowing their ‘hippie’ fathers from the 1960s?

Hundreds of thousands, certainly. Perhaps millions. The ‘hippie’ boys had run off to their next conquest, leaving their bastard children adrift to become the next dysfunctional generation.

How many millions of abortions have been performed as a result of the lifestyles of the pleasure-seekers of the 1960s?

More than 40 million. Charming thought, isn’t it? Oh, heck, there’s nothing wrong with abortion! It’s just a baby…

How many homosexual males have died as a result of their wild sexual lifestyles licensed by the 1960s?

Three-hundred thousand or more, a fact that is being covered up by the media. And that figure represents just 1% of the people in America. If extrapolated to the whole population, it is an astronomical death rate of 30 million!

How many children today are growing up in impoverished homes as a result of the legitimization of sexual promiscuity and the breakdown of the nuclear family?

Millions and millions, for certain.

How many ‘hippie’ generation males and females are living empty, lonely lives because of the fact that sexual license ultimately drives the sexes apart through anger, betrayal and lies?

Many millions.

How much money is our health-care system devoting to the epidemic of sexually-transmitted diseases that result from the ‘sexual revolution’?

Many, many tens of billions. And females are the biggest victims. But the health-care system and media are covering up the real costs.

How many trillions of taxpayer dollars have gone to fund the broken families with no father to support it and its mother destitute or struggling to survive?

Many trillions, taken from productive, law-abiding people who play by the rules.

So how about if all the rich ‘hippie’ Democrats support these lost generations?

No, they are too busy hiding their wealth from the tax man and spending it on more and more ‘stuff’.

Viagra is just a metaphor for our culture today, an artificial prop to shore up an artificial, self-centered lifestyle that ultimately means nothing. Except for the crucial procreation of man, sex is irrelevant to the betterment of mankind.

Sure it feels good, but lots of things feel good that aren’t good for you like eating lots of ice cream or a few drinks after work every single day. Sex, like these other indulgences, is a pleasure, not a need. And if we ever are going to  provide for all of man’s needs, we need to think straight, not where our next sexual encounter is coming from.

The pleasure-seekers among us may actually get wise in their older years. How many will tell their children and grandchildren to go out and have sex with anyone they want?

Who knows. But many ultimately have come to realize what the ‘hippies’ refused to acknowledge back in the 1960s about their parents – that honesty, hard work and selflessness are what ultimately build a nation worth living in. And that artificial props today like Viagra are hardly worth noting in the overall scheme of things but necessary to remember as a long-term vestige of a selfish generation.
