Our old friend Mark Halperin is at it again. After spending much of the 2004 campaign with his eyes locked on Democrat talking points as firmly as his lips were bonded to John Kerry's posterior, Halp-less has released his 'analysis' of last night's debate.
There are echoes throughout of the infamous October 2004 memo, where young Mark directed the ABC news organization to stop focussing so hard on evenhanded coverage (must have missed that five minutes), as "both John Kerry and George W. Bush used 'distortion' in their campaign, but Kerry's distortions were not 'central to his efforts to win.'" McCain's jibes at Obama are characterized as evidence of his 'disrespect', whereas Obama's near-constant, condescending use of McCain's first name goes unnoticed.
For Marky-snark, the ass may change, but the song remains the same.
