(This one’s for Pilgrim!)
“We don’t tell men that if they want to make sure their, can buy insurance coverage through their pharmaceutical plan for Viagra that they can’t do it. No, we don’t do that, and I wouldn’t support that. It would be wrong. Well, it’s wrong to single out women and to say to women of this country, they can’t use their own private funds to purchase insurance that covers the whole range of reproductive health care,” Boxer said on the Senate floor.
It takes a special kind of courage to keep going. To get on the short bus every morning and cope with her unique subset of mental impairments is just amazing. For her to face the ridicule of her professional colleges is an indictment of American Society. It makes me want to ask the important and burning questions. Questions like “How in the heck did this sub-sapient gibbon ever get elected to several consecutive terms in the United States Senate?”
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Differently Able Senator Barbara Boxer. No, there is no return policy. I wash my hands. You’re stuck with her. Team America will buy out the remainder of her contract, but we ain’t taking her back. If only this were true….
Barbara Boxer represents California in The US Senate. I’m sure several Californians would like to punch me in the nose for such a statement. I should rephrase it somewhat. Senator Barbara Boxer rose to political prominence in California. Perhaps, The Golden State is a land where stupidity and dishonesty do not get you pulled out of the gene pool by Charles Darwin’s poltergeist. I know of no other explanation for Barbara Boxer’s professional success.
Predictably, Barbara Boxer gets along quite well with partisan ally and fellow philosopher, Congresswoman Maxine Waters. According to Jim Geraghty, Boxer pays money to Maxine’s daughter in return for being featured prominently on Maxine Waters’ sample ballot. Geraghty describes the pay for play below.
What you probably didn’t know is that Boxer has been sending large amounts of cash to Waters’s daughter for the past two cycles, and in exchange, Waters has been featuring Boxer prominently on her “slate mailer,” a sample ballot used by many voters in Waters’s South Central district.
In 2004, Boxer paid Rep. Waters’s daughter, Karen Waters, $25,000 to ensure her spot on the mailer; on June 2, Boxer’s campaign sent “Citizens for Waters” $5,000.
Mere corruption, we could deal with. It could be worse. An incumbent senator could be doing everything in her power to harm the commonweal. Just last week, Senator Boxer signed on to cosponsor Harry Reid’s Dream Act as an attachment to the latest Defense Appropriations Act. Michelle Malkin describes the particulars of this legislation.
The so-called DREAM Act would create an official path to Democrat voter registration for an estimated 2 million, college-age illegal aliens. Look past the public relations-savvy stories of “undocumented” valedictorians left out in the cold. This is not about protecting “children.” It’s about preserving electoral power through cap-and-gown amnesty.
Recently, the Stimulus Bill that Senator Boxer voted for was found to have spent $111M in Los Angeles, CA. It led to the creation of 54.46 jobs. Senator Boxer informs us that it could be worse. Let’s see, The US has lost 2.5M jobs in the recession. It’s costing the Stimulus Plan $2M per job to bring them back. At this rate, we would only have to borrow 1/3 of the entire US GDP ($5Tr) to get them back. It could be worse.
Now that Barbara Boxer has helped vote Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac a new bailout, it will be. Just how bad? Details follow below.
According to The Washington Post, “The total price tag for Fannie and Freddie will be $145 billion, easily becoming the costliest element of the government's rescue of the financial system. Last week, Freddie reported a net loss of $6.7 billion in the first quarter and said it needed an additional $10.6 billion in assistance from taxpayers. Fannie's latest earnings report showed that the company continues to lose money on the trillions of dollars in loans it owns or insures. The company reported an increasing number of foreclosures.”
“Under the terms of the government's 2008 emergency takeover of Fannie and Freddie, the Treasury must pump money into either firm whenever its worth, as measured by assets minus liabilities, goes into the red. Late last year, the Obama administration pledged unlimited backing,” The Washington Post reported.
It could be worse. Many polls of this year’s CA Senate Race favor her to be reelected. We could get six more years of Barbara Boxer in the US Senate.
Don’t call her “Ma’am”. She’s worked hard to get her title. Life is tougher if you’re stupid.
Now, more than ever: Carly Fiorina for Senate. Send lawyers, guns and money. End Barbara Boxer’s Senate career. Help us wake up from the National Nightmare!
