The release of this report and its timing is oddly the day before the Tea Parties. A tactic to maybe scare off the fringe that actually are “Rightwing Extremists” and are worried about being assaulted by riot-gear police and know that satellites are tracking their movements…
I’m outraged… but not because I’m now implicated as an extremist, but because this is clearly the work of partisan hacks being appointed to positions that affect the safety of this nation and its citizens.
This to me this is the politics of No Quarter. The audacity that because you have the majority its time now to destroy the opposition. Very Machiavallian, you know label the opposition before they label you…
Not exactly a smart move, unless as others have stated… they must think they’ll never lose another election.
So I decided to make my point this way… I’m revising just a few things to be more inclusive. Sort of a Mad Lib if you will…
Thanks to Malkin for providing the excerpts I chose alter for parody’s sake.
From Page 2:
Rightwing Extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration or the global war on terrorism or the inhumane extermination of squirrels and other animals whether real or perceived.
From the report page 3:
(U//LES) Rightwing Extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists very normal and patriotic citizens belonging to more than just the Republican party are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Right Left-wing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment to the extremely reputable(snark) DailyK0S and Mov3On organizations. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing ACORN extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider wilder audience of potential sympathizers such as Rev. Jeremiah Wright and many other race-baiters.
(U) Exploiting Economic Downturn is the only way we can win an election.
(U//FOUO) Rightwing Extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures, but seriously what do they have to complain about its not like they’re living in Canada. Anti-Semitic–Keynesian extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish “financial elites.” who donated generously to Chris Dodd and Barney Frank and relied heavily on the stupidity of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi to get a bailout with bonuses in tact. These “accusatory” tactics are employed to draw new recruits into rightwing extremist groups such as the GOP, Libertarian, Constitution, and other possibly legitimate but outdated rhetorical political parties that don’t fit the mold of the “O” and further radicalize those already subscribing to extremist beliefs which we can not tolerate because its not “O” approved and may result in a failed re-election of “the one”. DHS/I&A assesses this trend is likely to accelerate if the economy is perceived to worsen. (This last line was meant to not look like we’re worried about losing the re-election, cause we know that’s impossible, but to get brownie points with “Master O”)
From page 5:
(U//FOUO) Over the past five years, various right leftwing extremists, including militias like code pink who really annoy all of us and white-collar intellectual supremacists, have adopted the immigration issue as a call to action, rallying point, and recruiting tool for votes through ACORN approved programs. Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups such as illegal immigrants and has the potential to turn violent in the form of foaming/frothy mouth tirades about how America stole this country from Mexicans and Indians and we deserve to lose sovereignty anyway unless we can be governed by the “O”.
From page 8.
(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months to ascertain with greater regional specificity the rise in rightwing extremist activity in the United States, with a particular emphasis on anyplace where 2 or 3 are not gathered in the name of Obama where these sort of people hang out in their compounds and talk about overthrowing the government and how to get grass and blood stains out of a table cloth during their tea parties, which are the political, economic, and social factors that drive rightwing extremist radicalization.
Maybe it will be the opportunity of conservatives someday to hack off the left arm of the country… Maybe the idiots behind this assessment have only proven their analytical skills have been exhausted. Maybe they actually mean what they said… but if I were a leftwing liberal democrat supporting Obama… then I might fear the consequences and retribution of losing a re-election.
