The next time that Rachel Maddow or Keith Olbermann lecture you that MSNBC is not like Fox News, MSNBC covers the news, just mention this story. MSNBC says it's "The Place for Politics," and yet no one covers this?
Can you imagine if a Republican said this and it wasn't reported on MSNBC? I can't.
From HotAir (before 3 p.m.--well before Matthews and Schultz and Olbermann and Maddow and O'Donnell):
Video: Democratic Senator complains lame-duck agenda “rigged” on hot mic
posted at 2:55 pm on November 30, 2010 by Ed Morrissey
“It’s all rigged, the whole conversation’s rigged,” Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) complained today on the Senate floor — without realizing that someone had left the C-SPAN microphones hot. An aide quickly alerted staff and had the mics shut off, but not before viewers heard Bennet’s disembodied voice griping about the top-down management of the lame-duck agenda.
But there is more irony to be mined in a complaint from Bennet on rigging conversations. Just five weeks ago, Bennet’s campaign tried to get radio station KOA to rig an interview leading up to the midterm election. At that time, the only conversation Bennet wanted to have was about how great he was, and how much of a sacrifice it was to actually campaign for office. He wasn’t having a lot of those other conversations then, either — at least not by choice.
Go to MSNBC and type in "rigged." Nothing.
Even the Washington Post covered the story:

Michael Bennet: 'It's all rigged'
By Matt DeLong
During a moment of extreme candor that was picked up by a hot microphone, Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) on Tuesday was heard voicing his displeasure with Democratic plans for the lame-duck session of Congress.
"It's all rigged," Bennet said to a colleague-- possibly Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) -- on the Senate floor. "I mean, the whole conversation's rigged. The fact that we don't get a discussion before the break about what we're going to do in the lame duck -- it's just rigged. This stuff's rigged."
Maybe MSNBC will cover the story tonight, 24 hours later. I'm open to pleasant surprises on media fairness. I just listened to the headlines on The Ed Show, and every one attacks a Republican.
MSNBC doesn't cover this at all. This non-reporting won't make a story on NewsBusters. Am I the only guy who notices what the left purposely DOES NOT cover?
