You're the news director at, say, MSNBC. Which of these three stories do you cover:
1. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitting that $500 billion was counted twice on Obamacare.
2. A NASA "global warming" satellite falling into the ocean, costing taxpayers $424 million.
3. Mike Huckabee's comments on Natalie Portman's pregnancy.
Think! Think!! You're a news network! You tell people "what's true in the world."
Do you cover the $500 billion double-counting story, the lost $424 million story, or a Republican's comments about a Hollywood star?
You cover the Republican's comments about the Hollywood star. You even had to think about this?
The other two stories you don't even cover at all!
Then you get on your high horse, saying, "WE'RE NOT AT ALL LIKE FOX NEWS, WE DON'T MAKE STUFF UP, WE REPORT WHAT'S TRUE IN THE WORLD!"
I shouldn't be surprised anymore when MSNBC doesn't cover this at all, but here's the story from (and I could pick any number of good, non-Soros-funded websites) Big Government:
Kathleen Sebelius Admits The Obamacare Books Were COOKED
by Jeff Dunetz
They screamed, they begged, cajoled but everyone called them liars. Ever since the outline of the Obamacare began to be circulated people pointed out that the $500 billion dollars of Medicare savings were being double counted in the cost estimates.
Yesterday the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee heard testimony from Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Representative John Shimkus (R-IL) asked about the double counting of the $500 billion of savings which seemed to still helping the bottom line of Medicare and contributing to the funding of Obamacare. He asked Sebelius which program was supposed to receive the benefit of that Medicare cut, she answered, “Both.”
WOW ! Maybe Obama is “the one” he can spend $500 Billion Dollars, and the spend the same exact money on something else, that is magic of biblical proportion. I wonder if he can split the Reed Sea as an encore?”
Can you imagine if an Enron accountant testified before Congress that he double-counted FIVE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS. In a normal society, that person would probably be in jail.

Over on the front pages of the MSM....crickets.
Here's Gateway Pundit:

THE BIGGEST NEWS OF THE DAY—-
How does no one at the Washington Post even mention this? Doesn't the Washington Post cover Washington, DC? Isn't $500 billion real money? How is this not a scandal? Is JournoList still alive somewhere?
I went over to the Washington Post search box for "Shimkus," but there was nothing about this. I then used two different search words--"Huckabee" and "Portman":

This Huckabee/Portman nonstory was covered NINE TIMES?
MSNBC, as you can imagine, was all over Huckabee on Friday. Kathleen Sebelius--who??
Here's a story at Fox Nation:
March 04, 2011
Obama’s Half Billion Dollar Climate Change Satellite Crashes
By Josh Smith, National Journal
NASA is launching an investigation into what caused a $424 million satellite, and a key climate research tool, to crash early Friday morning.
The mission was to be the first satellite launch under President Obama's climate initiative and was supposed to "advance the United States' contribution to cutting-edge and policy-relevant climate change science," said Michael Freilich, director of NASA's Earth Science Division, in January.
MSNBC? MSNBC, are you there? You're reporting the news, right?
Here's the MSNBC.com webpage. There are dozens of stories listed. Is the NASA story anywhere?
Cenk Uygur led his Friday show with the unemployment numbers. Unemployment is below 9%! Take that, Republicans! What do you have to say abolut that?
Mark Levin, as usual, was great. From The Right Scoop:
Mark Levin: Happy days are here again!
Posted by The Right Scoop on Mar 4, 2011 in Politics
Mark says that since unemployment fell .1%, it’s time to celebrate! Don’t worry that it’s statistically insignificant, what really matters is that Obama with all of his pro-growth policies has driven unemployment below 9%. That’s a feat that every President should want on their resume!
What's $500 million lost? What's $500 billion double-counting? Phoney-baloney unemployment numbers dropped 0.1%! MSNBC lead story!
All this should be a joke, but it's not.
Hardball with Chris Matthews did THREE stories about Mike Huckabee:
Chris Matthews takes issues with Mike Huckabee’s behavior this week, saying his words have shades of black vs. white rhetoric.
Mike Huckabee clarifies his comments about the Oscar winner being unmarried and pregnant, saying "he's happy she's marrying the baby's father."
MSNBC Political Analyst David Corn and political commentator Ron Reagan discuss whether Mike Huckabee's comments about barack Obama could hurt Huckabee's chances at the presidency.
Here's another story not fit for MSNBC, but you can be sure that it a tea party person made a bomb threat that it would be on every show. From Gateway Pundit:
BOMB THREAT At Scott Walker News Conference – Leftist Protester Arrested!
Posted by Jim Hoft on Friday, March 4, 2011, 2:49 PM
Far Left protester Patrick J. Knauf, 43, of Eau Claire was arrested on Wednesday for the violation of making a bomb scare under state statute 947.015.
A bomb threat was called in on a Walker rally and the media doesn’t report on it?
The media's dead, Jim.
NewsBusters reports on media slant and factual errors, but what's most most important is what the liberal media simply doesn't cover at all.
Day after day, this goes on. If there's no Hitler sign at a tea party rally of thousands of people, the MSM will make one up and focus on it. If there are hundreds of Hitler signs at the union rallies in Wisconsin, the MSM will miss every single one of them.
This is the MSM lying. This is playing sides with the facts. This is wrong.
No, I'm not surprised by the whitewash the MSM gave Obama again on Friday. It happens every day.
But what happened on Friday with these major non-stories is beyond outrageous.
There must be a better way to point this out and hold the MSM accountable. The public must know what's going on!
