Vote Break Down: Florida On HR 3997

How Florida Voted On The Bailout

I will now break down how Florida voted on this bill. Complete with links, so you can tell those who voted yes where to go.

The list will be broken into who voted yes or no.

For those who voted “Yes”:
Allen Boyd (D FL-02)
Corrine Brown (D FL-03)
Ander Crenshaw (R FL-04)
Alcee Hastings (D FL-23)
Ron Klein (D FL-22)
Tim Mahoney (D FL-16)
Kendrick Meek (D FL-17)
Adam Putnam (R FL-12)
Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D FL-20)
Dave Weldon (R FL-15)
Robert Wexler (D FL-19)

For those who voted “Hell NO!”:
Gus Bilirakis (R FL-09)
Ginny Brown-Waite (R FL-05)*
Vern Buchanan (R FL-13)
Kathy Castor (D FL-11)
Mario Diaz-Balart (R FL-25)
Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R FL-21)
Tom Feeney (R FL-24)
Ric Keller (R FL-08)
Connie Mack IV (R FL-14)
John Mica (R FL-07)
Jeff Miller (R FL-01)
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R FL-18)
Cliff Stearns (R FL-06)
Bill Young (R FL-10)

From looking at this, it would appear a that this vote went along party lines with a few exceptions. Three Republicans voted for the bailout. They should be shun for voting for that garbage. Only ONE Democrat broke ranks and voted against the bailout. Someone give Kathy Castor a bloody medal!

You can find out how your congressperson voted, here.

*Note: I live in Florida’s 5th Congressional District and it is a dream of mine (although I know I it will never come true) to go to congress representing this district. I am thinking of starting a thought experiment, with the help of fellow RedStaters, to see how such a run for congress would work. Please subscribe to my blog for updates.
