Shocked again on Obama’s stances…just tase me.

To think I was done being shocked by all of O’s actions, statements, laws, czars, appointments (too many to list), he did the unthinkable , twice in less than a week and it’s only Wednesday a.m.

First at his commencement speech at Barnard College. Once again, he displayed his disdain and pure disrespect for our Constitution. Here are his words:

“It’s been said that the most important role in our democracy is the role of citizen.  And indeed, it was 225 years ago today that the Constitutional  Convention opened in Philadelphia, and our founders, citizens all, began crafting an extraordinary document.  Yes, it had its flaws — flaws that this nation has strived to protect over time.”

Most of us would agree that it’s the most beautiful document of governance that has, and will probably ever be written. This president has absolutely no sense of its magnitude and the liberty to which it stands. I know he’s disrespected it before but this was such a blatant in your face remark when he said it had flaws, to a bright-eyed graduating class.

His whole speech was a campaign pitch but this statement was extremely low. The last words of his sentence, “to protect over time” really describes his true inner thoughts as I see it: the rich, powerful white folk wrote this document and want to protect the rights of land-owners instead of the rights of all. Apparently, the internet editors at Barnard College saw fit to correct his statement from protect to perfect:

“It’s been said that the most important role in our democracy is the role of citizen.  And indeed, it was 225 years ago today that the Constitutional Convention opened in Philadelphia, and our founders, citizens all, began crafting an extraordinary document.  Yes, it had its flaws — flaws that this nation has strived to protect (perfect) over time.  Questions of race and gender were unresolved.  No woman’s signature graced the original document — although we can assume that there were founding mothers whispering smarter things in the ears of the founding fathers.   (Applause.)  I mean, that’s almost certain.”

Well now if that isn’t a campaign speech I don’t know what is and it was supposed to be a commencement speech!

And on to the next shocker, Obama said he will veto the House DOJ budget that was passed because it included a block on a gun control law his admin used as a method during Operation Fast and Furious. The law required gun sellers on border states to report the number of sales of multiple semi-automatic rifles to the ATF. Given the horrific details we know so far, it is beyond comprehension that the prez would give any leeway to fast & furious, let alone to declare he’d veto the budget because the House doesn’t want the lawful gun dealers to report their sales that may be used for a case against the Second Amendment.

An insert from foxnews.com: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/05/09/obama-threatens-to-veto-doj-budget-because-it-blocks-fast-and-furious-gun/:

“In the 2013 fiscal year budget for the Department of Justice and related  agencies, House Republicans inserted a rider, or condition, that would force the  ATF to not implement that rule.

In a statement the White House released upon receiving the House  appropriations bill, the administration threatened it would veto the legislation  because of that ATF rider, among other things.

In the statement, the White House called that rider blocking the ATF rule’s  implementation one of the few it “strongly opposes” because the Obama  administration thinks it represents “problematic policy and language riders that  have no place in funding legislation.”

Well I strongly oppose DOJ’s cover-up tactics and for Obama to declare a possible veto on the appropriations bill due to its proper place, I’d say veto away. Shocking that he would bring attention to fast & furious in this way, but hey, everyone deserves a fair shot according to Mr. O.

Not a day goes by when I’m not shocked by this prez and his surrogates, but sometimes their words and actions are just too much to take.  Tomorrow will bring more disgust as he is omni-present and it’s impossible to turn him off. I’ve never seen a politician, let alone a completely inept and immoral person, in our highest office. Everytime I think I’ve built up enough antibodies to stave him off, a few bugs manage to enter my immune system. Damn it. I guess I’ll get free shots with O’care!
