Something Sure Does Stink…

Obama Campain vs Obama Presidency

How interesting it was to read an MSM article criticizing Obama, or should I say the Obama campaign. Dean Reynolds, an embed reporter with CBS news, wrote an fairly interesting blog comparing and contrasting the “behind the scenes” between the McCain Camp and the Obama Camp. Reynolds was one of the few reporters who has been able to see firsthand the differences between the two campaigns. His findings provided me with a good chuckle this morning, until I thought about it and remembered that Obama has cited his campaign and how he runs it as his executive experience. Oh what fun this will be…

Essentially throughout the article Reynolds discusses how disorganized the Obama camp is, even from campaign staffer to campaign staffer:

“Obama’s campaign schedule is fuller, more hectic and seemingly improvisational. The Obama aides who deal with the national reporters on the campaign plane are often overwhelmed, overworkedand un-informed about where, when, why or how the candidate is moving about.”

In contrast the McCain campaign is quite organized and well oiled machine. The staffers have a handle on the issues, what’s going on from day to day, and go figure they even give the press a PRINTED schedule:

“The McCain folks are more helpful and generally friendly. The schedules are printed on actual books you can hold in your hand, read, and then plan accordingly. The press aides are more knowledgeable and useful to us in the news media. The events are designed with a better eye, and for the simple needs of the press corps.”

Normally this wouldn’t mean much, except that his campaign is clearly suffering from a need for an organization expert. However, back in early September Obama was attempting to “deal with” the Palin pick as McCain’s VP, and in his ramblings he cited running his campaign as his executive experience. Obama wanted people to know that, ‘I’m running a Presidential campaign that gives me more experience than a mayor of a small town.’ The POLITICO’s Ben Smith has Obama quoted as saying:

“My understanding is that Gov. Palin’s town, Wassilla, has I think 50 employees. We’ve got 2,500 in this campaign I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year — we have a budget of about three times that just for the month,” he said.

Where am I going with this? Well look this is just one example of how disorganized, un-informed, overwhelmed the Obama camp is now, and they are just running a campaign not the country. If Obama can barely run his campaign in an organized fashion, just think how he would run the country. Now that’s something that stinks far worse than Obama’s campaign plane.
