Obama the Arrogant

It should be perfectly clear to the country and the world that The One is arrogant.

But for those who are still wondering why anyone would think that, let me help.

Let’s take a look at the rationale for super-spending on Porkulus (close to a trillion dollars) and then another two trillion on ObamaCare.

These decisions perfectly capture the arrogance of Obama.

Americans are not just worried about American government spending and debt, they are scared of what it will mean.

But The One does what he wants, and the Democratic party (or anyone in it) refuses or is incapable of telling their spoiled, arrogant creation No.

While Americans are scared of the kind of spending The One and his ilk have happily and recklessly partaken in, what Americans want is The One to work on jobs and the economy.

Sorry, it’s ObamaCare, Cap and Trade and beat up on banks for two years in Washington — oh, while we spend a trillion on government programs to help my friends, er — the economy.

The One does not care what the American people want, he does what he wants.

But more importantly, its not just what The One has done, it’s how he’s done it.

The One ignored ObamaCare’s critics, the voters and the public. He spoke before a joint session of Congress about his idea in his head for health care reform, not the actual bill before the House and Senate.

The One is so arrogant, if reality does match his view of the world he will lie about what reality really is:

1. ObamaCare will reduce the deficit;

2. If you like your plan you can keep it;

3. The private sector will not drop their coverage and dump employees into the government plan;

4. ObamaCare does not fund abortion; and,

5. He will make jobs and the deficit his top priority.

While he lies regularly to the public, he also lies to his friends.

Some of the hapless Dems who will lose their jobs on Tuesday actually believed The One about many things.

But what they received for believing him was their backs broken, as The One walked over them, to get it passed.

He does not care what anyone else thinks.

It’s his way that it important.

The bill enraged a center-right nation, but The One kept provoking everyone who opposed the bill.

On and on, The One would not stop.

So now, The One’s persistence will be met, on Tuesday, with vengeance and ridicule.

But my analysis focus is about what The One says and does. Liberals are more touchy, they talk about how they feel. Here is Dowd in the NYT:

“Once it seemed impressive that he was so comfortable in his own skin. Now that comfort comes across as an unwillingness to be wrong.

We want the best people to govern us, but many voters are so turned off by Obama’s superior air that they’re rushing into the arms of disturbingly inferior pols.

Obama admitted to The Times’s Peter Baker: “There is probably a perverse pride in my administration — and I take responsibility for this; this was blowing from the top — that we were going to do the right thing, even if short term it was unpopular.”

A tin ear, or “trying to do the right thing” is the wrong approach to describing The One and his White House.

They knew perfectly well that the American people, in the main, hated ObamaCare and their super-spending.

He just did not care. He thinks he is right, and to The One, the small (gun totting, religious) public or the GOP are either wrong or evil or both.

And the moral thing to do, in The One’s world, is to do what’s right.

Oh, and The One decides what is right.

Quoting Dowd, again:

But who defines what’s “right”?

With the exception of Obama, most Americans seemed to agree that the “right” thing to do until the economy recovered was to focus on jobs instead of getting the Congress mired for months in making over health insurance and energy policy.

Turns out, The One never thinks he’s wrong. Even when people he hires tell him not to do something, he does it anyway.

He does not listen — to any one.

The White House Chief of Staff, now running for the mayor of Chicago, and the Vice President tried to talk The One out of ObamaCare. But, he listens to his own voices.

Just imagine The One applying the this skill set of enraging the public and his political opponents to an international crisis.

The One is not just arrogant, he is dangerous to his friends and allies — as the Dems will find out on Tuesday.
