The Time cover that showed Obama as FDR was prescient – two men who, after wreaking havoc on our republic, took their destruction abroad.
I have never seen a better description of FDR’s New Deal than in Whittaker Chambers’ “Witness”: “a genuine revolution by bookkeeping and lawmaking. The power of politics had replaced the power of business.”
Now we have Obamacare creating a 29 hour workweek and an economy that has increased dependency on government. Give the president his minimum wage hike and amnesty for illegal aliens, you’ll see a real disaster.
Do you think these “masterminds” don’t know the end results of their policies are just increased dependency?
Chambers also wrote: “all the New Dealers I had known (in Washington) were communists or near communists.” So it would seem McCarthy was right. Oh, and for you handwringers that equate McCarthyism with the likes of genocide, check out Congressman Dies’ work, (and for our complicity in genocide, checkout USAID and Peruvian President Fujimori’s sterilization program). Before McCarthy, Hollywood bragged of an anti-communist blacklist, so that no film against communism would be made.
The power of politics over the power of business is a dangerous game – it often leads to war. Consider Nobel Laureate Paul Krugman’s desire for invasion by space aliens to get us out of recession. (But he also said we need “death panels.”) Or, how about the Civil War, where the Gulf States seceded over tariffs protecting northern industry? The rest of the south left after Lincoln’s conscription without congressional approval.
President Obama and FDR also share an affinity for our enemies. FDR gave Eastern Europe to the Soviets and agreed to send back about two million people to be slaughtered. President Obama is giving the Middle East to the Muslim Brotherhood and ignores the slaughter of Christians throughout the region.
President Obama emulates other so-called “great” presidents. He, like Woodrow Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt, prefers direct democracy over our republic. These “masterminds”, or statists, have advanced their agenda in the 17th amendment, and now seek to weaken the Electoral College.
Like President Obama, JFK had an affinity for redistribution of wealth. In JFK’s 1963 address to the IMF/World Bank, he said: “Twenty years ago…sixty percent of the gold reserves of the world were here in the United States. There was a need for redistribution of the financial resources of the world…(a)nd an equal need to organize a flow of capital to the impoverished countries of the world. All this has come about. It did not come about by chance, but by conscious and deliberate and responsible planning.”
That sounds a bit more serious than President Obama’s comment on redistribution to Joe the Plumber.
