It is "great" that the Obama Administration worked out a "deal" with the five largest mortgage lenders that amounts to $25 billion spread among 49 states. However, once again we fail to hear about the reform or, even better, dissolution of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Nor did we hear anything about the Community Reinvestment Act and its role in laying the seeds of the housing bubble. Instead, we got window dressing and a photo op and promises of "more to come." This is the third time in three months that Obama has wimped out and failed to address a pressing issue head on, instead opting for delay- Keystone pipeline, Obamacare and contraception coverage, and this housing announcement. No doubt, there will be more "earth-shattering" announcements to come from our Wimp-in-Chief. Grow a set, Barack, and address the issues you were elected to address.
