Consumer asks Indiana not to prohibit Legal Funding
Do not pass Representative Matt Lehman bill that allows insurance companies to profit by squeezing small settlements from consumers
Today a hearing will take place in the basement of the Indiana State Capitol. The subject matter will be a bill to prohibit Indiana consumer’s access to legal funding, a product that allows them an alternative when faced with financial pressures and an uncooperative defendant insurance company. This is a repeat of a bill that Indiana Representative Matt Lehman introduced last year that was promoted publicly by professional defendant insurance company State Farm and its Indiana-based trade association, NAMIC.
