1. If Someone Blows Up a Wal-Mart Tomorrow Can We Blame Democrats?

“My administration,” the president added, “is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”The Pew Poll this week that has everyone talking shows voter distrust of government at an all time high. Congress, federal agencies, the political parties, etc. are all massively distrusted and loathed by the voters.Correspondingly, we have seen news story after news story and Democrat after Democrat come out and tell us the reason for the distrust and loathing is “Republican rhetoric” and tea party activists. The Democrats and many talking heads in the media have gone so far as to say that any and all acts of violence against the government are to be blamed on Republicans. The Pentagon shooter from a few months ago turned out to be a registered Democrat and 9/11 truther who hates conservatives, George Bush, and the right in general. But the right’s “rhetoric” caused the guy to shoot up the Pentagon.Across the board, every bad poll number for the Democrats and every word by the right has been tied together by an angry horde of the seditious, a call to violence, and a warning that when and if any violence does occur against any elected official or the government in general it is the right’s fault because of their words. So if someone blows up a Wal-Mart tomorrow or attacks an employee for Exxon, a pharmaceutical company, or another corporation is that the left’s fault? Please click here for the rest of the post.

2. The Media Double Standard on Language

Not to be fixated on the media suddenly shifting language in the abortion debate now that they’ve realized pro-abortion forces are losing, but it seems there is more than a little hypocrisy out there. To review: the media has decided to stop using the phrase “pro-life” because it is a loaded term. They are using “anti-abortion”, which itself is a loaded term. Never mind that some in the media continue using “pro-choice” instead of “pro-abortion”.People do not like to be considered “anti” anything and that word choice has as much of a psychological impact as using “pro”.Well, that brings me to the Democrats’ poll tested use of the word “reform” that the media is using gladly.Reform connotes a good thing. It is an intentional word choice in the propaganda battle for the hearts and minds of swing voters. So you are either for reform or against reform. Never mind what the reforms are.So if the media really wants to be fair and balanced, why are they letting Democrats dictate the word choice and, in essence, painting the Republicans as being anti-reform when, like with health care, it was just not that particularly reform the Republicans supported? Please click here for the rest of the post.

3. On Charlie Crist and the FBI: See, I Told You So

Early this morning I made the case that the FBI and IRS investigation in Florida had more to do with Charlie Crist than Marco Rubio despite breathless headlines to the contrary.I’ve gotten lots of emails that I was just shilling for Marco and, said one, need to take the news “like a man.”Well, I told you so.Please click here for the rest of the post.

4. Desperate Dan Coats Tries to Repackage Old As New. Again.

Dan Coats knows he is in trouble in Indiana. Momentum is with Marlin Stutzman who just received endorsements from Mark Levin, David Keene, Jim DeMint, and an A+ rating from the NRA — the highest of any candidate running. So Coats is trying to get free media to say Mike Pence just endorsed him. In reality, way back in February when Coats entered the race, Mike Pence had some kind words for the former senator.Coats wants everyone to believe the kind words came as an endorsement today after Jim DeMint’s endorsement of Marlin Stutzman earlier this week. It is the clearest sign yet that Marlin Stutzman is surging in Indiana and Coats is worried. Please click here for the rest of the post.

5. NRA Gets Involved in Indiana. Stutzman Is The Only Guy With an A+ Rating.

The NRA is sending out a postcard to its members in Indiana. You can see it here. The NRA is not endorsing in the race, but notes that only Marlin Stutzman has an A+ rating on the second amendment. The postcard also notes that Dan Coats is the only candidate to “cast anti-gun votes” in office. Please click here for the rest of the post.

6. GEICO vs. FreedomWorks?

Last week, Matt Kibbe of FreedomWorks posted the voicemail from GEICO voiceover actor Lance Baxter (A.K.A D.C. Douglas). The voicemail was very calm, very steady, asking how many FreedomWorks employees were “mentally retarded”, and then goes on to ask what our spin will be when one of our members finally kills someone. And then he left his name and phone number.Let’s state the obvious: This is sheer stupidity. If you’re even remotely recognizable and you are representing a company, you don’t alienate customers. It’s as simple as that. GEICO obviously saw the damage, and fired him. Please click here for the rest of the post.
