The Baroness Thatcher, beloved of conservatives worldwide as “The Iron Lady”, celebrated her 87th birthday on Oct. 13th. Frail, and in declining health, one must consider the likelihood that this will be the last US presidential election that she witnesses.
The idea of Joe Biden representing the United States at her funeral is, at best, unpalatable, at worst….
And while speaking of the “special relationship” between the US and the UK, one would hope that among the first things that President Romney does is to request that our British friends again lend the White House the bronze bust of Winston Churchill, to be restored to a place of honor in the Oval Office. No other single gesture would signify as powerfully that Romney is intent on cleaning out the Augean stables that is the Obama administration.
